SCI FI HAS BEST NOVEMBER EVER IN YOUNGER DEMOGRAPHICS AND REAPS DOUBLE DIGIT INCREASES IN KEY DEMOGRAPHICS AND HOUSEHOLD DELIVERY
New York, NY � November 29, 2006 � SCI FI Channel's record-breaking growth trend has continued through November with strong performances from original programming leading the Channel to double digit increases in key demographics. Gains include a 21% surge in adults18-49 (552,000) and a 15% increase in adults 25-54 (608,000) compared to last November. SCI FI was the 7th ranked basic cable entertainment network among adults 25-54 and also ranked in the top ten among the coveted key male demos (men 18-49 and men 25-54). With an 11% jump in household ratings vs last year, SCI FI also equaled its best performance ever for any month of the year in household delivery (802,000).
SCI FI scored big with younger viewers resulting in the Channel's best November ever among adults 18-34, men 18-34 and men 18-49. With a median age of 44.1, SCI FI's median age is three years younger than last November.
'Ghost Hunters' enjoyed its highest rated and most-watched season in household ratings and all key demos. Compared to Season 2.5 (3/29 � 5/31/06), this season was up 30% in household ratings, up 28% in total viewers, up 35% in adults 25-54 and up 39% in adults 18-49.
'Battlestar Galactica,' currently in its 3rd season, has also increased its delivery in adults 18-34 by 12%, and upped its adults 18-49 delivery by 2%.
