"60 MINUTES" MAKES THE TOP FIVE AND WINS ITS PERIOD IN HOUSEHOLDS, VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54
Sunday's (10) 60 MINUTES was one the five most-watched programs for the week and also finished first in its time period in households, viewers and adults 25-54.
America's number one news magazine, finished the week at number three in households (10.5/17) and number four in viewers (15.83m), according to figures released by Nielsen. It was the fourth time this season that 60 MINUTES finished among the top-10 programs and the first time it made the top five this season.
Sunday's broadcast featured an interview with the Abu Ghraib prison abuse whistle- blower, Joe Darby, conducted by CNN Anchor Anderson Cooper in his first appearance as a 60 MINUTES contributor; Steve Kroft's report on the capture of the head of the Sicilian Mafia and the pervasive influence of organized crime in Italy; and Scott Pelley's segment on the up-and-coming sport of mixed martial arts.
