CBS's Monday momentum continued as the Network posted the night's second best ratings of the season in viewers and adults 18-49 led by season high deliveries for CSI: MIAMI, according to preliminary Nielsen Live Plus same-day ratings for Feb. 12.
At 10:00 PM, CSI: MIAMI was first in households (12.7/21), viewers (19.85m), adults 25-54 (8.0/19) and adults 18-49 (6.4/16)- all season highs.
CSI: MIAMI beat the competition combined by +57% in households (vs. 8.1/13), +64% in viewers (vs. 12.11m), +40% in adults 25-54 (vs. 5.7/14) and +16% in adults 18-49 (vs. 5.5/14).
The second episode of RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (8.7/13, 13.50m) was tied for second in adults 25-54 (6.0/13, with FOX) and adults 18-49 (5.0/11, with FOX). RULES OF ENGAGEMENT built on its TWO AND A HALF MEN lead-in among adults 18-49 (5.0 from 4.9) while retaining 91% of viewers (from 14.84m), 95% of adults 25-54 (from 6.3/13) and 96% on adults 18-49 (from 5.2/12).
TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in households (10.1/15) and viewers (15.62m) and delivered a 6.2/13 in adults 25-54 and 4.9/11 in 18-49.
For the night, CBS was first in households (9.4/14), viewers (14.60m), adults 25-54 (6.1/14) and second in adults 18-49 (4.9/12, -0.1 behind FOX). This matches CBS's best Monday delivery in adults 25-54 and is the second best households, viewers and adults 18-49 performances this season (all just behind last Monday).
In late night, LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, with guests Drew Barrymore, Rickie Lee Jones and ventriloquist Kevin Johnson (with Clyde and Matilda) delivered a 4.7/12 in the 55 Nielsen metered markets, its second highest rated broadcast of the season and tying The Tonight Show." Last night only trailed the Monday, 11/20/06 (5.2/13) broadcast with guests Jerry Seinfeld (night of the Michael Richards interview) and ESPN's Dan Patrick.
Meanwhile, THE LATE LATE SHOW with CRAIG FERGUSON, with guests Peter O'Toole, Joely Fisher and Dierks Bently & the Grascals, earned a 2.2/8, the highest rating for THE LATE LATE SHOW on any night of the week so far during the 2006-07 season (excluding the special telecast on Super Bowl night) and program's highest rated broadcast since earning a 3.3/12 on Thursday, 12/1/05 (the night Oprah Winfrey was on LATE SHOW).
THE LATE LATE SHOW beat "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" last night by +0.2 household rating points (2.2/8 vs. 2.0/7). This marked the second time LATE LATE SHOW has beaten "Late Night" this season.
