Cable Ratings Round-Up (Week of March 5-11): 'Silverman' Hits Series High in Finale
By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Comedy Central's "The Sarah Silverman Program" closed out its freshman run with a series high 2.0 million viewers on Wednesday. The special broadcast lead out of the 11th season premiere of "South Park" (2.8 million).

USA however dominated the cable landscape with five of the top 15 programs last week - "WWE Raw" (10:00, 6.2 million, #1), "WWE Raw" (9:00, 5.4 million, #2), "Law & Order: SVU" (Saturday at 10:00, 3.3 million, #T6), "Law & Order: CI" (Thursdays at 10:00, 3.0 million, #T11) and "Law & Order: SVU" (Saturday at 9:00, 2.9 million, #T13).

Also making the cut: VH1's "I Love New York" (4.1 million, #3) and a repeat of "Family Guy" on Adult Swim (Sunday at 10:30, 3.3 million, #T6).

Outside the top 15, HBO's Queen Latifah-led original "Life Support" drew a modest 1.4 million viewers while Lifetime's newcomer "Blood Ties" opened to a similar 1.6 million viewers.

And finally, Sci Fi's "The Dresden Files" (1.17 household rating, 844,000 adults 18-49) and "Battlestar Galactica" (1.23 household rating, 1,057,000 adults 18-49) trended upward after consecutive weeks of series lows.
