CBS's Freshman Drama Beats an Original "ER" in Adults 18-49 For the First Time

CBS Wins Every Half Hour on Thursday in Viewers and Key Demographics

CBS's freshman drama SHARK topped a first-run "ER" in adults 18-49 for the first time ever capping a Thursday night which saw the Network win every half hour in viewers and key demographics, according to preliminary Nielsen Live Plus same-day ratings for April 12.

At 10:00PM, SHARK was first in households (9.5/16), viewers (14.71m), adults 25-54 (5.1/13) and adults 18-49 (4.0/11). SHARK has won its time period 10 times in the last 11 airings in both households and viewers and for the last five broadcasts in a row in both adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

This marks the first time an original episode of SHARK topped a first run episode of "ER" in adults 18-49 (4.0/11 vs. 3.7/10, +0.3 rtg pt) while posting its largest margins of victory in households (9.5/16 vs. 6.3/11, +3.2 rtg pts), viewers (14.71m vs. 9.14m, +5.57m) and adults 25-54 (5.1/13 vs. 4.2/11, +0.9 rtg pt).

SHARK also beat ABC's special one-hour preview of "Notes From the Underbelly" in viewers and all key demographics.

Earlier in the night, SURVIVOR: FIJI was first in households (8.4/14), viewers (14.14m), adults 25-54 (5.5/15) and adults 18-49 (4.4/13). This is SURVIVOR's best households and viewers delivery since March 1.

CSI was first in households (13.4/21), viewers (21.87m), adults 25-54 (8.5/20) and adults 18-49 (6.6/17) and finished well ahead of a "Grey's Anatomy" clip show.

For the night, CBS was first in households (10.4/17), viewers (16.91m), adults 25-54 (6.4/14) and adults 18-49 (5.0/14). CBS won every half-hour in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

Final Thursday ratings will be available this afternoon.

For the night, CBS was first in households (10.5/17), viewers (17.01m), adults 25-54 (6.4/17) and adults 18-49 (5.0/14). CBS won every half-hour in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.
