ABC's Freshman "Brothers & Sisters" Wins its Time Period in Adults 18-49 for the Second Week in a Row, Beating NBC's "SNL" Special and CBS' "Without a Trace"

Dominating its second straight Sunday of the 2007 May Sweep, ABC marked its 6th consecutive week to hold the No. 1 position on the night among Adults 18-49. ABC (4.4/12) won the evening by a wide margin in the key Adult 18-49 sales demographic, beating out second-place CBS by 47% (3.0/8), third-place Fox by 52% (2.9/8) and fourth-place NBC 57% (2.8/8). ABC won all 4 hours of the evening for the second week in a row among Adults 18-49.

* For the 5th consecutive week, ABC's "Desperate Housewives" is Sunday's No. 1 TV show in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49. The Net claimed the Top 3 television programs on Sunday in Adults 18-49, with "Desperate Housewives," "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and "Brothers & Sisters."

"America's Funniest Home Videos" (7:00-8:00 p.m.) vLeading Sunday's 7 o'clock hour for the 4th straight week, "America's Funniest Home Videos" led its nearest time period competition by 20% among Adults 18-49 (2.4/8 vs. 2.0/7 - CBS' "60 Minutes").

"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" ranked a definitive No. 1 during the 8 o'clock hour in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49. "Home Edition" surpassed its closest competition in the hour, which included the season finale of "Amazing Race All Stars," by 1.1 million viewers (11.6 million vs. 10.5 million - CBS' "Amazing Race") and by 16% in Adults 18-49 (4.3/12 vs. 3.7/10 - Fox's "The Simpsons"/"The Simpsons").

* "Home Edition" garnered its highest Adult 18-49 rating in 6 weeks - since 3/25/07.

"Desperate Housewives" (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

Sunday's No. 1 TV show for the 5th week running, ABC's "Desperate Housewives" overshadowed its competition during the 9 o'clock hour among viewers and young adults. "Housewives" bested its closest time period competitors by 3.3 million viewers (16.9 million vs. 13.6 million - CBS' "Cold Case") and by 91% in Adults 18-49 (6.5/16 vs. 3.4/8 - Fox and NBC tied).

"Brothers & Sisters" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

ABC's freshman "Brothers & Sisters" won Sunday's 10 o'clock hour for the second week in a row in Adults 18-49 (4.3/11), beating second-place NBC's "Saturday Night Live" special by 13% (3.8/10) and third-place CBS' veteran "Without a Trace" by 16% (3.7/10).
