BURBANK, Calif. July 15, 2007 The NBC Universal Entertainment Cable Networks, USA Network, SCI FI Channel and BRAVO, have all delivered their best second-quarter results on record, setting new marks for second-quarter primetime viewership among both adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.
Through the first six months of 2007, USA, SCI FI and BRAVO have also combined to account for eight of basic cable's top 10 primetime entertainment series in adults 25-54 (three or more telecasts, original and encore, no sports, no specials*, no movies) and 67 of basic cable's top 100 individual primetime entertainment telecasts (no sports).
The eight top-10 primetime entertainment series of the year's opening six months include USA's "WWE Entertainment" (#1), "The Starter Wife" (#2), "House" (#3), "The 4400" (#5), "Psych" (#6), "The Dead Zone" (#9) and "Monk" (#10) and SCI FI's "Battlestar Galactica" (#7).
Included among the half-year's top-100 individual primetime basic-cable telecasts are numerous editions of USA's "WWE Entertainment" (with each individual hour counting as one telecast) and episodes of USA's "The Starter Wife," "Burn Notice," "Monk," "Psych" and "House," plus the motion pictures "National Treasure" and "Pirates of the Caribbean." Bravo added telecasts of "Top Chef," including the finale, which ranks as basic cable's top reality-series telecast of the first half of the year (excludes "Planet Earth," not coded as a series by Nielsen).
The total of 67 top-100 telecasts for the NBC Universal Entertainment Cable Networks easily doubles any other cable group, with the 23 of the Discovery networks ranking #2.

USA was #1 among adults 25-54 on four out of the seven nights of the week for the second quarter. USA was #1 on Monday with "WWE Monday Night Raw," on Thursday with the television event "The Starter Wife" and the debuting series "Burn Notice," on Friday with such acquired movie titles as "National Treasure," "Sweet Home Alabama" and "The Pacifier" and on Saturday with a combination of "Law & Order: SVU" and acquired movies.
