"60 MINUTES" DOES IT AGAIN: RANKS FIRST IN HOUSEHOLDS FOR THE WEEK AND SECOND IN VIEWERS
Number One Newsmagazine Wins Sunday for the Seventh Straight Week
60 MINUTES landed atop the Nielsen weekly rankings for the second straight week, tying for first in households and placing second in viewers. The broadcast was also Sunday's top program in both those categories for the seventh consecutive week.
The number one newsmagazine delivered a 6.6 rating and 12 share to tie with "America's Got Talent" for first place in households, and drew the second largest audience of the week with 9.91 million viewers.
The program featured three repeat segments: a Steve Kroft investigation of a U.S. Coast Guard modernization program; a Scott Pelley report on global warming; and CNN Anchor Anderson Cooper's profile of American Idol judge Simon Cowell.
