ESPN.com NFL Content: 53 Million Page Views, Up 25% From 2006
Monday night's Washington Redskins Philadelphia Eagles game on ESPN's Monday Night Football earned a 9.1 rating, ESPN's best of 2007, boosting ESPN to the top spot among all television networks broadcast or cable in prime time. In addition, traffic to ESPN.com's NFL content showed strong growth over last year's debut season of MNF.
The 20-12 road victory by Washington was seen in average of 8,735,000 homes, the second most in cable television for the year, and averaged 11,633,000 viewers (P2+). Including last week's special MNF opening night doubleheader, ESPN's three NFL games account for the second-, third-, and fifth-most-watched shows on cable in 2007 (Disney Channel's High School Musical 2 is No. 1 with 9.4 million HHs).
From the kickoff of ESPN's NFL studio programming at 4 p.m. through the conclusion of the game, ESPN delivered 17.5 gross household coverage ratings for its MNF coverage.
