"CSI: NY" Is the Only 10:00 PM Drama to Show Growth at the Half Hour
CBS is the Only Network to Grow in Every Hour in Adults 18-49 Throughout the Night
The second episode of KID NATION posted week-to-week growth in adults 18-34, topping "Dancing with the Stars," the FOX comedies and NBC's game show in the time period. In addition, the season debut of CSI: NY won its time period in viewers and beat the highly promoted debut of "Dirty Sexy Money in adult 18-49, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Wednesday, Sept. 26.
CBS was the only network to show hour-to-hour growth among adults 18-49 throughout the night.
The second episode of KID NATION (4.8/08, 7.61m) was first in children 6-11 (2.1/08), second in adults 18-49 (2.8/08), adults 18-34 (2.6/08), teens 12-17 (2.1/08) and children 2-11 (1.6/06). Compared to the first episode last week, KID NATION was up +4% in adults 18-34 (from 2.5/08).
KID NATION finished ahead of "Dancing with the Stars," the FOX comedies and "Deal or No Deal" in adults 18-34. KID NATION also was second in its time period in adults 18-49 ahead of FOX and NBC.
CBS Research estimates that KID NATION ratings will increase by +10% in adults 18-34 and +5% in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 when all DVR playback is included.
The fourth season premiere of CSI: NY won its time period in households (8.1/13), viewers (12.70m) and was second in adults 25-54 (4.6/11) and adults 18-49 (3.7/10) - topping ABC's premiere of "Dirty Sexy Money."
CBS Research estimates that all DVR playback will boost ratings for CSI: NY by +12% in adults 18-49 and adults 18-34 and by +10% in adults 25-54.
The third season premiere of CRIMINAL MINDS (P) averaged an 8.2/13 in households with 12.71 million viewers, 4.5/10 in adults 25-54 and 3.5/09 in adults 18-49.
CRIMINAL MINDS is expected to get a sizeable lift when DVR playback is factored into its final ratings. CBS Research estimates that all DVR playback will increase ratings for CRIMINAL MINDS by +16% in adults 18-49, +18% in adults 18-34 and +8% in adults 25-54.
Final Wednesday ratings will be available this afternoon.
