"The Big Bang Theory" Builds On Its Lead-In In Viewers And Demos

Both "Mother" and "Big Bang" Top "Chuck" and "Prison Break" in Adults 18-49

"CSI: Miami" Wins Time Period in Viewers and Key Demographics

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, THE BIG BANG THEORY and RULES OF ENGAGEMENT all posted week-to-week growth, according to preliminary Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Monday, Oct. 8.

From 8:00-9:00 PM, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and THE BIG BANG THEORY topped NBC ("Chuck") and FOX ("Prison Break") in adults 18-49.

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was second in households (5.2/08), viewers (8.03m), adults 25-54 (3.7/09) and adults 18-49 (3.2/09) - all behind "Dancing with the Stars". Compared to last week, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was up +2% in households (from 5.1/08), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.1/09) and added +160,000 viewers (from 7.87m, +2%).

THE BIG BANG THEORY was second in households (5.3/08), viewers (8.36m), adults 25-54 (4.0/09) and adults 18-49 (3.4/08, up +3% from 3.3/08 last week). THE BIG BANG THEORY built on its HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER lead-in by +2% in households, +8% in adults 25-54, +6% in adults 18-49 and added +330,000 viewers.

At 9:00 PM, TWO AND A HALF MEN was second in households (8.1/12), viewers (12.98m), adults 25-54 (5.7/12) and posted a 4.4/10 in adults 18-49.

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (6.8/10, 10.71m) was second in adults 25-54 (4.9/10) and adults 18-49 (3.8/09). Compared to last week, RULES OF ENGAGEMENT was up +8% in households (from 6.3/09), +4% in adults 25-54 (from 4.7/10), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.7/08) and added +620,000 viewers (from 10.09m, +6%).

At 10 PM, CSI: MIAMI was first in households (9.5/15), viewers (14.14m), adults 25-54 (5.4/13) and adults 18-49 (4.3/11).

For the night, CBS was second in households (7.4/11), viewers (11.40m), adults 25-54 (4.9/10, -0.1 behind ABC) and adults 18-49 (3.9/10, -0.2 behind ABC).

From 8:00-9:00 PM, both HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and THE BIG BANG THEORY topped NBC ("Chuck") and FOX ("Prison Break") in adults 18-49.

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was second in households (5.1/08), viewers (7.96m), adults 25-54 (3.7/09) and adults 18-49 (3.2/08) - all behind "Dancing with the Stars." Compared to last week, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was up +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.1/09) and added +90,000 viewers (from 7.87m, +1%).

THE BIG BANG THEORY was second in households (5.2/08), viewers (8.35m), adults 25-54 (4.0/09) and adults 18-49 (3.4/08, up +3% from 3.3/08 last week). THE BIG BANG THEORY built on its HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER lead-in by +2% in households, +8% in adults 25-54, +6% in adults 18-49 and added +390,000 viewers.

At 9:00 PM, TWO AND A HALF MEN was second in households (8.1/12), viewers (13.02m), adults 25-54 (5.7/12) and posted a 4.4/10 in adults 18-49.

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (6.8/10, 10.68m) was second in adults 25-54 (4.9/10) and adults 18-49 (3.8/09). Compared to last week, RULES OF ENGAGEMENT was up +8% in households (from 6.3/09), +4% in adults 25-54 (from 4.7/10), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.7/08) and added +590,000 viewers (from 10.09m, +6%).

At 10 PM, CSI: MIAMI was first in households (9.6/15), viewers (14.45m), adults 25-54 (5.6/13) and adults 18-49 (4.5/11).

For the night, CBS was second in households (7.4/11), viewers (11.48m), adults 25-54 (4.9/11, -0.1 behind ABC) and adults 18-49 (4.0/10, -0.1 behind ABC).
