October 11, 2007 (Burbank, CA) - The CW turned in another strong Wednesday in its target demos, led by the powerhouse AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL and growing new hit GOSSIP GIRL. TOP MODEL kicked off the night by winning the hour in women 18-34 (4.6/14), teens (3.3/12) and female teens (5.8/20), and placed second among adults 18-34 (2.9/9), women 18-49 (3.8/11), behind only ABC, according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007. TOP MODEL also ranked third among adults 18-49 (2.5/7), behind only ABC and NBC.
TOP MODEL scored its most watched (5.3mil) episode this season and matched its highest rated telecast of the season in adults and women 18-49.
TOP MODEL surged with double-digit gains over last week, building 12% in adults 18-34, 12% in women 18-34, 14% in adults 18-49, 12% in women 18-49, 10% in teens, 12% in female teens and 16% in viewers (5.3mil).
GOSSIP GIRL continued to win the hour in teens (2.4/8) and female teens (4.1/14).
GOSSIP GIRL also scored week-to-week growth, building 5% viewers (2.9mil), 8% in adults 18-49 (1.3/3) and 5% in women 18-49 (2.0/5). GOSSIP GIRL matched last week in adults 18-34 (1.7/5) and women 18-34 (2.7/7).
Overall, The CW ranked second on Wednesday night with women 18-34 (3.7/10), and ranked a towering first with teens (2.9/10) and female teens (4.9/17).
The CW's Wednesday delivered week-to-week increases of by 10% in adults 18-34 (2.3/7), 9% in women 18-34, 12% in adults 18-49 (1.9/5), 7% in women 18-49 (2.9/8), 14% in viewers (4.1mil). This ties as the CW's best Wednesday of the season in women 18-34 and women 18-49.
