CBS Finishes Just One Tenth of a Rating Point from First in Adults 18-49 for the Second Consecutive Monday
CBS Up in Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 Versus Last Week
TWO AND A HALF MEN, RULES OF ENGAGEMENT and CSI: MIAMI all posted week-to-week growth in key measures leading CBS to another competitive finish in adults 18-49 (-0.1 from first), according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Monday, Oct. 15.
At 9 PM, TWO AND A HALF MEN (8.9/13, 13.78m) averaged a 6.0/13 in adults 25-54 and 4.8/11 in adults 18-49. Compared to last week, TWO AND A HALF MEN was up +10% in households (from 8.1/12), +5% in adults 25-54 (from 5.7/12), +9% in adults 18-49 (from 4.4/10) and added +760,000 viewers (from 13.02m, +6%).
RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (7.0/10, 11.02m) averaged a 5.0/11 in adults 25-54 and 4.0/09 in adults 18-49. Compared to last week, RULES OF ENGAGEMENT was up +3% in households (from 6.8/10), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.9/10), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 3.8/09) and added +340,000 viewers (from 10.68m, +3%).
At 10 PM, CSI: MIAMI was first in households (10.4/17), viewers (15.40m), adults 25-54 (6.0/14), adults 18-49 (4.7/12) and adults 18-34 (3.4/09). Compared to last week, CSI: MIAMI was up +8% in households (from 9.6/15), +7% in adults 25-54 (from 5.6/13), +4% in adults 18-49 (from 4.5/11), +3% in adults 18-34 (from 3.3/09) and added almost 1 million viewers (from 14.45m, +7%).
Earlier, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (5.2/08, 7.96m) was tied for second in adults 18-49 (3.1/09, with FOX's tentative baseball delivery).
THE BIG BANG THEORY (5.4/08, 8.15m) was tied for second in adults 25-54 (3.7/09, with NBC) and built on its HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER lead-in by +4% in households, +6% in adults 25-54, +3% in adults 18-49 and added +190,000 viewers.
For the night, CBS was second in households (7.9/12), viewers (11.95m,), adults 25-54 (5.0/12, -0.2 behind ABC) and adults 18-49 (4.1/10, -0.1 behind ABC), up +2% in both adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and +4% in viewers.

At 9 PM, TWO AND A HALF MEN (8.8/13, 13.69m) averaged a 6.0/13 in adults 25-54 and 4.7/11 in adults 18-49. Compared to last week, TWO AND A HALF MEN was up +9% in households (from 8.1/12), +5% in adults 25-54 (from 5.7/12), +7% in adults 18-49 (from 4.4/10) and added +670,000 viewers (from 13.02m, +5%).
RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (6.9/10, 10.81m) averaged a 5.0/11 in adults 25-54 and 4.0/09 in adults 18-49. Compared to last week, RULES OF ENGAGEMENT was up +1% in households (from 6.8/10), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.9/10), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 3.8/09) and added +130,000 viewers (from 10.68m, +1%).
At 10 PM, CSI: MIAMI was first in households (10.5/17), viewers (15.59m), adults 25-54 (6.1/14), adults 18-49 (4.8/12) and adults 18-34 (3.5/09). Compared to last week, CSI: MIAMI was up +9% in both households (from 9.6/15) and adults 25-54 (from 5.6/13), +7% in adults 18-49 (from 4.5/11), +6% in adults 18-34 (from 3.3/09) and added +1.14m viewers (from 14.45m, +8%).
Earlier, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (5.0/08, 7.71m) was tied for second in adults 18-49 (3.1/09, with FOX's baseball delivery).
THE BIG BANG THEORY (5.2/08, 7.94m) delivered a 3.7/08 in adults 25-54 and 3.1/08 in adults 18-49 and built on its HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER lead-in by +4% in households, +9% in adults 25-54, matched the adults 18-49 delivery and added +230,000 viewers.
For the night, CBS was second in households (7.8/12), viewers (11.89m), adults 25-54 (5.0/12, -0.2 behind ABC) and adults 18-49 (4.1/10, -0.1 behind ABC), up +2% in both adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and +4% in viewers.
