ENTERTAINMENT, NEWS AND SPORTS CARRY CBS TO A SUNDAY WIN IN VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54 AND A SOLID SECOND IN ADULTS 18-49

THE 12TH EDITION OF "THE AMAZING RACE" LEAVES THE STARTING GATE WITH ITS LARGEST PREMIERE AUDIENCE EVER

"Race" Sprints to its Best Demos for a Premiere Since "The Amazing Race 8" in Sept. 2005

The Primetime NFL Runover Between the "New England Patriots vs. Indianapolis Colts" Averages a Preliminary 32.7 Million Viewers and 11.4/29 in Adults 18-49

The 12th edition of THE AMAZING RACE left the starting gate with 13.8 million viewers, the largest premiere audience ever for the five time Emmy Award-winning reality show, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Nov. 4.

Editors Note: CBS's coverage of the New England Patriots at Indianapolis Colts aired until approximately 7:30 PM. CBS's ratings are tentative and subject to change.

At 8:30 PM, the season premiere of THE AMAZING RACE 12 (8.5/13, 13.82m) averaged a 5.2/11 in adults 25-54 and 4.2/09 in adults 18-49. Compared to the fall 2006 premiere of THE AMAZING RACE 10 (on 9/17/06), CBS was up +35% in households (from 6.3/10), +13% in adults 25-54 (from 4.6/10), +8% in adults 18-49 (from 3.9/09) and added +3.69m viewers (from 10.13m, +36%).

If the ratings hold, this is the best delivery ever for a first episode of any season of THE AMAZING RACE in both households and viewers and the best delivery in both adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since THE AMAZING RACE 8's Sept. 27, 2005 premiere.
