CBS Wins the Night in Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 with its Largest Thursday Audience Since May 2006

CBS won Thursday in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 with its largest audience on a Thursday since May 2006 behind dominating performances by SURVIVOR: CHINA, CSI and WITHOUT A TRACE, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Nov. 8.

The night was highlighted by the two-hour CSI/WITHOUT A TRACE crossover event resulting in CSI's largest audience (21.9m) since its season premiere and best delivery in viewers (21.4m) and key demographics for WITHOUT A TRACE since early 2006. Both series posted significant increases versus last week.

At 9:00 PM, CSI was first in households (13.8/20), viewers (21.92m), second in adults 25-54 (8.1/18, -0.1 behind ABC) and adults 18-49 (6.4/15). CSI was up +16% in households (from 11.9/18), +9% in adults 25-54 (from 7.4/16), +12% in adults 18-49 (from 5.7/14) and added +2.86m viewers (from 19.06m, +15%) compared to last week. CSI was Thursday's Number One program in viewers. This is CSI's best delivery in households and viewers since the September 27, 2007 season premiere.

At 10:00 PM, WITHOUT A TRACE was first in households (13.7/23), viewers (21.39m), adults 25-54 (7.9/20) and adults 18-49 (6.3/17). WITHOUT A TRACE was up +41% in households (from 9.7/16), +61% in adults 25-54 (from 4.9/13), +62% in adults 18-49 (from 3.9/10) and added +6.81m viewers (from 14.58m, +47%) compared to last week.

This is CBS's best delivery in this time period with a regularly scheduled program in households and viewers since January 26, 2006 (WITHOUT A TRACE) and in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since March 9, 2006 (WITHOUT A TRACE).

SURVIVOR: CHINA was first in households (8.8/14), viewers (14.91m), adults 25-54 (6.1/15) and adults 18-49 (4.8/13). Compared to last week, SURVIVOR: CHINA was up +4% in households (from 8.5/14), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 6.0/15), on par in adults 18-49 (from 4.9/13) and added +470,000 viewers (from 14.44m, +3%).

This is SURVIVOR CHINA's best delivery in households, viewers and adults 25-54 since the first episode on September 20, 2007. SURVIVOR: CHINA has won its time period in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 for eight consecutive weeks.

For the night, CBS was first in households (12.1/19), viewers (19.41m), adults 25-54 (7.4/17) and adults 18-49 (5.8/15). This is CBS's best Thursday delivery in households and viewers since May 18, 2006, in adults 25-54 since September 28, 2006 and in adults 18-49 since September 27, 2007.
