BURBANK, Calif. � November 13, 2007 � Paced by Sunday's telecast of the Indianapolis Colts at the San Diego Chargers, which delivered the top "NBC Sunday Night Football" results in four weeks and powered NBC to a first-place finish Sunday night in numerous key measures, NBC averaged a 3.1 rating, 8 share in adults 18-49 and 8.2 million viewers overall for the week of November 5-11, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

The "NBC Sunday Night Football" telecast of the Colts-Chargers game concluded NBC's week of November 5-11 with a #1 finish on Sunday night in adults 18-49 (tied with Fox), adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures. "NBC Sunday Night Football" was the #1 telecast of the week among men 18-49 and men 25-54 and ranked #4 among all programs this week in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49.

Season-to-date through seven weeks, "NBC Sunday Night Football" is television's #1 program among men 18-49, men 25-54 and men 18-34. In primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49, "NBC Sunday Night Football" (6.3/16) ranks #5 among all programs season-to-date, while "Heroes" (6.0/13) ranks #6 and "The Office" (5.3/12) ranks #7 (tied), out of more than 100 programs on the major broadcast networks.

Among adults 18-34 season-to-date, "Heroes"(6.7/16) is the #3 show on television, "The Office (6.4/16) ranks #4 and "NBC Sunday Night Football"(5.8/16) is #7.

Also of note, season-to-date, "The Office" is the #1 comedy on television among adults 18-49 and "Heroes" is the #1 Monday night show in that key demo.

Primetime averages for the week of November 5-11 in adults 18-49 were ABC (3.8/10), Fox (3.5/9), CBS (3.3/9), NBC (3.1/8), Univision (1.8/5), CW (1.2/3) and Telemundo (0.5/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were ABC and CBS (11.9 million), Fox (8.8 million), NBC (8.2 million), Univision (4.1 million), CW (2.9 million) and Telemundo (1.0 million).

NBC highlights for the week of November 5-11:

* On Sunday, the "NBC Sunday Night Football" telecast of the Indianapolis Colts at the San Diego Chargers powered NBC to a first place finish in adults 18-49 (tied), adults 25-54, total viewers and the key adult male demographics of men 18-49 and men 25-54.

* On Monday, "Chuck" was up 14 percent in adults 18-49 versus the prior week, delivering its highest results in the demo and in total viewers in three weeks.

* On Monday, "Heroes" built on its lead-in by 53 percent in 18-49 to rank #2 for the hour, while dominating the slot in adults 18-34 and in all key adult male demographics � men 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.

* On Tuesday, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" dominated its time period, winning by every key ratings measure � adults, men and women 18-49, 18-34 and 25-54, as well as total viewers. "SVU" topped it nearest competitor in 18-49 by 65 percent and beat the ABC-CBS drama competition combined in adults, men and women 18-34.

* Also on Tuesday, "The Biggest Loser" was up 18 percent in 18-49 and 25 percent in total viewers versus the prior week, delivering its heftiest demo rating since October 3 and biggest overall viewership since September 18. "Loser" gained 31 percent in 18-49 from its first to its final half-hour and was up 32 percent versus NBC's average last season in the time period.

* On Wednesday, "Life" was up 37 percent in adults 18-49 versus the prior week, hitting its highest rating in three weeks. In total viewers, "Life" gained 12 percent versus the prior week. "Life" retained 96 percent of its lead-in from the previous hour in adults 18-49 and 99 percent in total viewers, its best retentions to date.

* "The Office" continues to deliver robust ratings in its new time period. Through the first seven weeks of the season, "The Office" is up 56 percent in 18-49 rating versus NBC's performance in this slot through this point last season.

* Also on Thursday, "30 Rock" retained 94 percent of its "Earl" lead-in to match its highest 18-49 rating and deliver its biggest overall audience since its season premiere. Both "30 Rock" and "Earl" won their tough time periods in men 18-34.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

Additional NBC highlights for the week of November 5-11:

On Monday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. ET, "Chuck" (3.2 rating, 8 share in adults 18-49, 7.6 million viewers overall) was up 14 percent versus the prior week in adults 18-49, delivering its highest 18-49 and total-viewer results in three weeks (since October 15). "Chuck" was #1 in its competitive hour among men 18-49. "Chuck" grew from half-hour to half-hour, gaining 6 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.3 from a 3.1). "Chuck" has generated half-hour-to-half-hour increases with every one of its seven Monday original telecasts to date.

At 9 p.m. ET, "Heroes" (4.9/11 in 18-49, 10.5 million viewers overall) built by 53 percent in 18-49 rating on its lead-in from the previous hour to rank #2 in its highly competitive time period in that demo. "Heroes" was a dominant #1 in the hour among adults 18-34 and also ranked #1 in women 18-34 and in all key adult-male demographics � men 18-34, men 18-49 and men 25-54. From half-hour to half-hour, "Heroes" increased by 9 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 5.1 from a 4.7).

Monday at 10 p.m. ET, "Journeyman" averaged a 2.1/5 in 18-49 and 5.1 million viewers overall.

On Tuesday, Nov. 6 from 8-10 p.m. ET, "The Biggest Loser" (3.3/8 in 18-49, 7.9 million viewers overall) was up 18 percent in 18-49 and 25 percent in total viewers versus the prior week. This was the show's best 18-49 rating since October 2 and biggest overall viewership since September 18. Versus NBC's average rating in this time period last season, "Loser" is up 32 percent (3.3 vs. 2.5). From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Loser" gained 31 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.6 from a 2.8).

Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (4.3/12 in 18-49, 11.7 million viewers overall) dominated its time period, winning in all key ratings measures � adults, men and women 18-49, 18-34 and 25-54, as well as total viewers. "SVU" won in adults 18-49 by a 65 margin (4.3 vs. a 2.6 for ABC's second-place "Boston Legal") and it beat the ABC-CBS competition combined in adults, men and women 18-34.

On Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Phenomenon" (2.2/6 in 18-49, 6.1 million viewers overall) was up 10 percent in 18-49 versus its performance of the prior week in this hour (a 2.0 from 8-9 p.m.), despite special competition from ABC's telecast of the CMA Awards.

Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET, "Bionic Woman" (2.7/7 in 18-49, 6.5 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in from the previous hour by 23 percent in 18-49 rating. "Bionic" grew 8 percent in 18-49 from its first to its second half-hour (to a 2.8 from a 2.6).

Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, "Life" (2.6/7 in 18-49, 6.4 million viewers overall) was up week-to-week by 37 percent in adults 18-49, delivering its best results in three weeks. In total viewers, "Life" was up 12 percent versus the prior week. "Life" retained 96 percent of its lead-in from the previous hour in adults 18-49 and 99 percent in total viewers, its best retentions to date.

On Thursday, Nov. 8 at 8 p.m. ET, "My Name is Earl" (3.3/9 in 18-49, 7.7 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in its time period in adults 18-49 and #1 in men 18-34.

Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET, "30 Rock" (3.1/8 in 18-49, 6.6 million viewers overall) retained 94 percent of its 18-49 lead-in and ranked #1 in the time period among men 18-34. "30 Rock" matched its highest 18-49 rating and attracted its biggest overall audience since its season premiere on October 4.

Thursday from 9-9:31 p.m. ET, "The Office" (4.3/10 in 18-49, 8.3 million viewers overall) was up 30 percent in adults 18-49 versus NBC's average in this highly competitive time period last season (4.3 vs. 3.3). "The Office" built on its lead-in by 39 percent in 18-49 rating and ranked #1 in this tough time period among men 18-34.

Season to date, "The Office" has lifted NBC by 56 percent in 18-49 rating in this time period versus the network's average at this point last season (5.3 vs. 3.4).

Thursday from 9:31-10:01 p.m. ET, "Scrubs" averaged a 3.1/7 in 18-49 and 6.3 million viewers overall. From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "ER" (3.5/9 in 18-49, 8.4 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in adults 18-49, total viewers and most key measures. "ER" topped rival drama "Big Shots" by 21 percent in both 18-49 and total viewers, despite a significant lead-in advantage for the ABC program. "ER" increased its 18-49 rating from half-hour to half-hour (to a 3.6 from a 3.3), while both ABC's "Big Shots" and CBS's "Without a Trace" declined half-hour to half-hour.

On Friday, Nov. 9 at 8 p.m. ET, "Deal or No Deal" (2.1/7 in 18-49, 9.6 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in 18-49 and other key measures.

At 9 p.m. ET, "Friday Night Lights" (1.9/6 in 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall) finished within one share of the time period lead in 18-49. "Lights" matched its highest 18-49 rating since its October 5 season premiere.

It is worth noting that in "live plus seven day" results through October 28, "Friday Night Lights" has been increasing an average 19 percent from "live plus same day" to "live plus seven day," reflecting the most "time-shifting" of any competing drama in the hour. By comparison, CBS' "Moonlight" has increased an average of 10 percent and ABC's "Women's Murder Club" has gained an average 14 percent. Also worth noting, through October 21, "Friday Night Lights" was the most upscale drama on television, delivering a 139 index of adults 18-49 in $100K+ homes (with a 100 index representing an average concentration of $100K+ homes in the adult 18-49 audience).

At 10 p.m. ET Friday, "Las Vegas" averaged a 1.8/5 in 18-49 and 7.0 million viewers overall.

On Saturday, Nov. 10 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Bionic Woman" averaged a 0.8/2 in 18-49 and 3.4 million viewers overall. At 9 p.m., a "Chuck" rebroadcast averaged a 0.9/3 in 18-49 and 3.2 million viewers overall. At 10 p.m., an encore telecast of "Law & Order: SVU" (1.5/4 in 18-49, 5.4 million viewers overall) built on its 18-49 lead-in by 67 percent to deliver NBC's top demo rating and biggest overall viewership in the slot in five weeks (since October 6).

On Sunday, Nov. 4, "NBC Sunday Night Football," featuring the Indianapolis Colts at the San Diego Chargers, averaged a 6.8/17 in adults 18-49, 17.3 million viewers overall and a 10.8/18 household rating and share from 8:23-11:45 p.m. ET.

For the night (from 7:30-11 p.m.), NBC averaged a 5.5/14 in adults 18-49 and 14.3 million viewers overall to rank #1 on Sunday in adults 18-49 (tied with Fox), adults 25-54, total viewers and the key demographics of men 18-49 and men 25-54

Also on Sunday, "Football Night in America 2" from 7:30-7:58 p.m. ET averaged a 2.0/6 in 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall and a 3.3 rating, 6 share in households. "Football Night in America 3" from 7:58-8:15 p.m. delivered a 3.3/9 in 18-49, 9.1 million viewers overall and a 5.7/9 in households. From 8:15-8:23 p.m., "NBC Sunday Night Football Pre Kickoff" averaged a 4.1/11 in 18-49, 11.1 million viewers overall and a 6.9/11 in households. Note: "Football Night in America" from 7-7:30 p.m. ET was sustaining programming and does not figure in the nightly or weekly primetime averages.
