ABC's annual broadcast of "I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown" ranked No. 1 in the 8 o'clock hour among Women 18-34 (2.7/8) and Kids 2-11 (3.7/12). The animated classic stood as Monday's top program in Kids 2-11.
� Equaling the prior week's performance of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" in the hour, "I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown" matched ABC's highest Kids 2-11 rating in the time period in over 1 year � since 11/20/06.
"Samantha Who?" (9:00-9:30 p.m.)
The season's No. 1 rookie comedy in viewers and young adults, as well as the most-watched new TV show overall, ABC's "Samantha Who?" stood as Monday's highest-rated comedy in Women 18-34 (3.3/9) and Women 18-49 (3.3/9). "Samantha" also led its 9-9:30 p.m. half-hour among Women 18-34.
Tuesday
ABC was up over the prior week by 8% in Total Viewers (7.9 million vs. 7.3 million) and by 19% in Adults 18-49 (2.5/7 vs. 2.1/6).
� ABC's "Shrek the Halls" and "Winnie the Pooh and Christmas Too" tied as the week's top-ranked program among Kids 2-11.
"Shrek the Halls" (8:00-8:32 p.m.)
In its second airing of the season, an encore of ABC's "Shrek the Halls" scored an across-the-board victory in its timeslot, leading in each of the key adult demographics (Adults 18-34 � 2.4/8, Adults 18-49 � 3.3/10 and Adults 25-54 � 3.7/10), Teens 12-17 (2.2/8) and Kids 2-11 (5.2/18).
"Winnie the Pooh and Christmas Too" (8:32-9:00 p.m.)
At 8:30 p.m., "Winnie the Pooh and Christmas Too" won its timeslot among Women 18-34 (3.1/9) and Kids 2-11 (5.2/18).
"Boston Legal" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
At 10 p.m., ABC's "Boston Legal" took the top spot, outperforming CBS' second half of a 2-hour "Cane" by 1.1 million viewers (9.0 million vs. 7.9 million) and 19% in Adults 18-49 (2.5/7 vs. 2.1/6).
Sunday
"America's Funniest Home Videos" (7:00-8:00 p.m.)
Opposite an NFL-inflated Fox in the opening hour of primetime, ABC's "America's Funniest Home Videos" finished second among Adults 18-49 (2.7/7), equaling the show's strongest performance of the season in the young adult demographic.
"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" (8:00-9:00 p.m.)
"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" won its time period, beating the first hour of CBS' "Survivor: China" season finale among Women 18-34 (3.8/11) and Women 18-49 (5.3/13).
