NEW YORK, April 29, 2008 -- COMEDY CENTRAL continues its record-setting ways with stellar ratings and delivery in April 2008, posting April-best numbers among Persons 18-49, Men 18-24 and Total Viewers.

The network was led by all-time great "South Park," which completed its 12th Season Spring run ranked as the #1 show in all of television in Wednesday Prime (beating out "American Idol") for seven consecutive weeks; "Lewis Black's Root of All Evil," which was the #1 show across all of television in its timeslot among Men 18-24 during April; and "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and "The Colbert Report," which have dominated late-night with their "Indecision 2008" coverage of the presidential primaries, each setting new high-water marks for the month, including "The Colbert Report: Doritos Spicy Sweet Pennsylvania Primary Coverage From Chili-Delphia - The City of Brotherly Crunch!" which was the highest rated and most watched week in the Peabody� Award-winning series' history (also earned in April).

PROGRAMMING HIGHLIGHTS

"South Park" Season 12 Highlights (March 12-April 23)

"South Park" finished its Spring run as the #1 show in Prime across all of television among Men 18-24 (beating "American Idol" for the top slot in every single week of the new season), averaging a remarkable 5.7 M18-24 rating.

The series was also #1 with Men 18-34 in all of television in its timeslot (Wednesdays, 10:00-10:30 p.m.) and was ranked #1 vs. all cable nets among Persons 18-49. The 2.3 P18-49 rating was up +11% vs. last season's Spring run.

Overall, Season 12 averaged a 2.6 HH rating and 3.5 million total viewers (P2+).

"Lewis Black's Root of All Evil" (April 2008)

"Lewis Black's Root of All Evil" was the #1 show across all of television among Men 18-24 in its timeslot (Wednesdays, 10:30-11:00 p.m.) for April.

For the month, "Root" averaged a 1.4 HH rating (up +24% vs. April 2007), 1.0 Persons 18-49 (up +28%), 2.7 Men 18-24 (up +29%) and 1.7 million total viewers (P2+) (up +30%).

"The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" (April 2008)

Spurred on by its ongoing "Indecision 2008" coverage of the presidential primaries, "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" recorded its most watched April ever among Persons 18-49 (1.2 million viewers, up +5% vs. April 2007) and Men 18-24 (255,000 viewers, up +43%).

For the month, the nightly news satire averaged a 1.5 HH rating (up +6%), 1.1 Persons 18-49 (up +3%), 2.1 Men 18-24 (up +38%) and 1.8 million total viewers (up +8%).

"The Colbert Report" (April 2008)

Highlighted by taking the show on the road for the first time ever, "The Colbert Report" set ratings records in April, registering its highest rated April among Persons 18-49 with a 0.9 rating (up +18% vs. April 2007) and Men 18-24 with a 2.1 rating (up +50%).

"The Colbert Report: Doritos Spicy Sweet Pennsylvania Primary Coverage From Chili-Delphia - The City of Brotherly Crunch!" which aired from April 14-17 was the most watched week in the show's history with a nightly average of 1.5 million total viewers (P2+) tuning in and was the highest rated week in the show's history among Men 18-34 (1.8 rating) and Persons 18-49 (0.9 rating, tied with w/o October 15, 2007).

Overall, "Colbert" averaged a 1.1 HH rating (up +19%) and drew 1.4 million total viewers (P2+) (up +20%), 1.0 million Persons 18-49 (up +21%) and 255,000 Men 18-24 (up +56%).
