OXYGEN RECORDS BEST OCTOBER EVER WITH DOUBLE DIGIT GROWTH AND PACING FOR BEST YEAR EVER
Oxygen.com Achieves 668% Growth Over October 2007
NEW YORK - October 28, 2008 - Oxygen celebrates ratings successes this month, with October becoming the network's best ever, based on Nielsen Media Research data. This was the best October ever for the network on all key demos: W18-49, P18-49, W18-34, and total viewers. The network is on target to celebrate its best year ever. For the entire year to date, the network is experiencing double digit growth for primetime across all key demos. Year to date, Oxygen now ranks 24 for W18-49 (up from ranking 29 in the same time period in 2007).
In primetime for the month, Oxygen averaged 131,000 W18-49 viewers (up 17% versus October 2007), 184,000 P18-49 viewers (up 17%), 59,000 W18-34 (up 9%), and 346,000 total viewers (up 16%).
Oxygen is currently on pace to celebrate its best year ever. In primetime, the network exceeds full year 2007 results in key demos: by 37% among W18-49 (155,000 vs. 113,000), 36% on P18-49 (214,000 vs. 157,000), 27% for W18-34 (75,000 vs. 59,000), and 31% on a Total Viewer basis (393,000 vs. 299,000).
Oxygen's digital properties saw gains this month as well, with www.oxygen.com notching its best October ever in page views. For October to date, the site is up 668% compared to last October with 10.9 million page views and up 50% on video streams, with 784,000 streams.
Contributing to this month's success was The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, which finished up its best season ever last week. The series' microsite generated 5 million page views in October. To date the site has generated 15 million page views (up 545% over season three) and 917,000 video streams (up 183%).
