SPORTS, NEWS AND ENTERTAINMENT DRIVE CBS TO SUNDAY NIGHT WIN IN VIEWERS AND KEY DEMOGRAPHICS
Sports (NCAA MENS BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP), News (60 MINUTES) and Entertainment (THE AMAZING RACE 14 and COLD CASE) combined to give CBS a Sunday win in viewers and key demographics, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for March 22.
Editors Note: CBSs prime time ratings include a 52-minute runover for CBS Sports coverage of the NCAA MENS BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP. As a result, all regularly scheduled prime time programs were broadcast off the clock, and ratings and rankings for The Network and the individual series are tentative and subject to change.
CBS Sunday included Steve Kroft's interview with President Obama on 60 MINUTES which was seen by at least 16 million viewers.
Preliminary estimates for CBS's primetime entertainment programming include THE AMAZING RACE 14 (11.63m) and COLD CASE (10.79m).
For the night, CBS was first in households (8.3/14), viewers (13.55m), adults 25-54 (4.4/11) and adults 18-49 (3.5/09).
Updated Sunday ratings will be available tomorrow.
