"DANCE YOUR ASS OFF" MOST WATCHED FRESHMAN SERIES IN OXYGEN HISTORY

OVER ONE MILLION TOTAL VIEWERS TUNE IN TO WATCH RUBEN WIN

Oxygen Continues to Show Double Digit Ratings Growth Year Over Year

New York - September 1, 2009 - Ruben's triumph on "Dance Your Ass Off" last night made the telecast the most successful season finale of a freshman series in Oxygen history among key demos. Finishing off the season, "Dance Your Ass Off" is now Oxygen's most successful freshman season ever among A18-49, W18-49 and total viewers.

Last night's finale drew in 540,000 A18-49, 423,000 W18-49, 189,000 W18-34 and 1.2 million total viewers, according to Neilson Media Research data. The entire first season averaged 494,000 A18-49; 382,000 W18-49; 179,000 W18-34 and 1,002,000 total viewers. This was only the second Oxygen series ever (after "Bad Girls Club," Season 3) to average more than a million viewers for the season. The show's website drew in over six million page views over the course of the season.

The success of "Dance Your Ass Off" fuels Oxygen's successes in 2009. Across Prime for 2009-to-date, viewership on the network is up 11% among W18-49 from last year (averaging 176,000); up 6% among A18-49 (averaging 232,000); up 18% among F18-34 (averaging 91,000) and up 9% among total viewers (averaging 432,000). Oxygen now ranks #23 among all ad-supported cable nets for F18-49, (up from #24 for the same weeks last year) and #22 among W18-34 (up one spot from #23 last year).

Last night Ruben, a 43-year-old wardrobe designer from Las Vegas was crowned the winner of "Dance Your Ass Off" with a total weight loss of 74 pounds over the course of the season. But it doesn't stop there. Fans can see Ruben again when he and the rest of the cast return during the "Dance Your Ass Off" Reunion special premiering Monday, September 7 at 10pm ET/PT.
