BRAVO'S "REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA" IS NO. 1 UNSCRIPTED CABLE ENTERTAINMENT TELECAST FOR THURSDAY AND WEEK-TO-DATE
Bravo Dominates all Unscripted Cable Entertainment for Second Consecutive Week among Women and Adults 18-49
"Top Chef" Continues Domination as No. 1 Cable Telecast among Adults 18-49 on Wedn. and is No. 2 Unscripted Cable Entertainment Program for Week-To- Date
NEW YORK - September 11, 2009 - For the first time this season Bravo's "Real Housewives of Atlanta" ranked as the No. 1 unscripted cable entertainment telecast for the day (9/10/09) and for the week-to-date, dominating all competition in every key metric - adults 18-49, women 18-49 and total viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. Additionally, for the second consecutive week Bravo bested all cable entertainment competition - including an original episode of "Project Runway - on Thursday among the key demos of women and adults 18-49.
The Atlanta ladies attracted an impressive 3.198 million total viewers; 2.318 million adults 18-49 and 1.798 million women 18-49, marking Bravo's highest Thursday telecast ever among adults 18-49, the highest "Real Housewives" non-finale telecast ever, and a season high for the "Real Housewives of Atlanta." The Real Housewives of Atlanta also dominated on BravoTV.com, generating over 25 million page views and 5 million video streams since its launch on July 30, 2009. The show's site has appeared among the top 10 most visited digital television show sites since its launch, a best for any Bravo series.
Earlier in the week, Bravo's "Top Chef: Las Vegas" continued its record on Wednesdays as the No. 1 cable network among adults 18-49 and the No 2. unscripted cable entertainment program for the week-to- date, with 1.898 million viewers tuning in to this week's episode. (Since premiere, the series has ranked No. 1 each week on Wednesdays among all cable telecasts in this key demographic).
On Tuesday night, "Flipping Out" garnered the season's highest rated episode among total viewers with 1.163 million total viewers. Through four episodes, the third season of the hit docu-series is up double digits, averaging 1.09 million total viewers (up 51 percent vs. 722,000) and 790,000 adults 18-49 (up 58 percent vs. 500,000).
And kicking off the week on Monday night, "The Rachel Zoe Project" in its sophomore season boasted the highest non-finale episode of the series with 930,000 total viewers (9/09). Season-to-date, "The Rachel Zoe Project" is up 25 percent among total viewers (748,000 vs 599,000), and 13 percent with adults 18-49 (530,000 vs 470,000).
