"LATE SHOW" DELIVERS ITS LARGEST AUDIENCE SINCE MID-JULY AS IT EXTENDS ITS WINNING STREAK OVER "THE TONIGHT SHOW" TO NINE WEEKS
"The Late Late Show" Also Delivers Its Largest Audience Since July; Tops "Late Night" for the Eighth Straight Week in Viewers
CBS's LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN delivered its largest audience since mid-July as it extended its winning streak over "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" to nine consecutive weeks, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Sept. 4.
LATE SHOW delivered a 2.4/06 in households with an average of 3.42m viewers, 1.1/04 in adults 25-54, 0.8/03 in adults 18-49 and 0.5/02 in adults 18-34. This is LATE SHOW's largest average weekly audience since the week ending July 17, 2009.
LATE SHOW beat "The Tonight Show" in households (2.4/06 vs. 2.1/05, +14%) and viewers (3.42m vs. 2.89m, +18%) for the ninth consecutive week. Compared to last week, LATE SHOW has cut the difference with "The Tonight Show" in adults 18-49 by 0.2 (-0.3 in the week ending September 4th from -0.5 in the week ending August 28th) and by 0.1 in both adults 25-54 (-0.1 from -0.2) and adults 18-34 (-0.5 from -0.6).
THE LATE LATE SHOW with CRAIG FERGUSON delivered a 1.2/04 with 1.56m viewers, 0.5/03 in adults 25-54, 0.4/02 in adults 18-49 and 0.3/02 in adults 18-34. This is LATE LATE SHOW's largest average weekly audience since the week ending July 10, 2009.
THE LATE LATE SHOW beat "Late Night" in households (1.2/04 vs. 1.1/04, +9%) and viewers (1.56m vs. 1.44m, +8%).
