NBC Wins Night Beating Combined Competition
NEW YORK � Sept. 14, 2009 � Last night's Bears-Packers "Sunday Night Football" opener on NBC Sports earned a 13.4 overnight rating and 22 share (8:30-11:45 p.m. ET), a three percent increase over last year (Bears-Colts, 13.0/20). The rating peaked at a 14.5/28 from 11:30-11:45 p.m. ET.
The Packers 21-15 victory dominated the night for NBC, beating ABC, CBS and Fox combined.
NBC averaged a 10.2/17 from 7-11 p.m. ET, the highest Sunday night average for any network in the metered markets since February 22 (Academy Awards on ABC).
