SYFY'S DESTINATION TRUTH SCORES IN WEEK TWO!

New York, NY September 17, 2009 Last night, Syfy's hit reality series Destination Truth, hosted by adventurer Josh Gates, broke ratings records for the second week in a row despite formidable competition. The all-new episode, airing from 10-11pm, delivered a 1.6 Household rating, 1.201 million Adults 18-49, 1.317 million Adults 25-54 (all series highs) and 2.021 million total viewers. In addition:

Destination Truth out-delivered the season finale of Dark Blue on TNT head-to-head by +60% in Adults 18-49 and +56% in Adults 25-54.

Overall for the day, Destination Truth was #9 among Adults 25-54s and #10 among Adults 18-49

In primetime, Syfy was #2 for Adults 18-49 and #3 for Adults 25-54

This episode was up vs. last week's original episode by +7% in Household rating, +3% in Adults 18-49 and 1% in Adults 25-54.

Next week, Josh and team head to Egypt, where they set out to make history as one of the only crews in the world permitted to investigate inside King Tut's tomb at night. The dangerous expedition has led to the untimely deaths of many who attempted it in the decades since the tomb's discovery, and conditions prove to be no easier for the Destination Truth crew, who must battle illnesses and a sandstorm before collecting evidence of the paranormal in the sinister depths of the famed sepulcher.

On Destination Truth, world traveler and intrepid explorer Josh Gates takes viewers off the map and around the globe in search of the answers to some of the world's most intriguing unexplained mysteries. This season, Josh will travel to some of the most extreme locations on earth, including the isolated Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan and the heart of the world's worst nuclear accident at Chernobyl. Viewers will also ride along on unprecedented investigations, including the world's first overnight exploration of King Tut's cursed tomb and pitch-black dives in ancient Caribbean caves. Destination Truth is executive produced by Brad Kuhlman for Ping Pong Productions (1000 Places to See Before You Die, Celebrity Rehab, FM Nation). Bechara Gholam serves as co-executive producer.
