VAMPIRE Ranks First in Hour with Women

November 13, 2009 (Burbank, CA) - VAMPIRE DIARIES matched its second highest rated telecast ever in adults 18-34 (2.3/7) and adults 18-49 (2.0/5), according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009.

VAMPIRE DIARIES won the 8-9pm hour in women 18-34 (3.0/9-tie), women 12-34 (2.8/8) and female teens (2.1/7). VAMPIRE ranked second in the hour among adults 18-34 (2.3/7-tie), persons 12-34 (2.1/7-tie) and teens (1.7/6).

VAMPIRE DIARIES continues to improve the time period, gaining 88% in women 18-34 (3.0/9), 21% in adults 18-34, 56% in women 18-49 (2.5/6) and 91% in female teens (2.1/7).

** Supernatural didn't air last night in San Francisco (it will air instead on Saturday), so the Supernatural ratings are very preliminary and likely to change this afternoon.

November 13, 2009 (Burbank, CA) - The CW's freshman hit VAMPIRE DIARIES continued its hot streak against all original sweeps competition, matching its second highest rated telecast ever in women 18-34 (3.1/9) and adults 18-34 (2.3/7), according to final Live Plus Same Day Nielsen ratings for Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009.

VAMPIRE DIARIES won the 8-9pm hour in women 18-34 (3.1/9), females 12-34 (3.0/9) and female teens (2.4/9). VAMPIRE ranked second in the hour among persons 12-34 (2.2/7-tie) and teens (1.9/6).

Paired with VAMPIRE DIARIES, The CW's SUPERNATURAL matched its best adults 18-34 (1.5/4) performance of the season, and scored its second best ratings this season in adults 18-49 (1.3/3).

With the powerful combo of VAMPIRE DIARIES and SUPERNATURAL, The CW's matched its best Thursday of the season in adults 18-34 (1.9/5). The CW Thursday's also scored its second best women 18-34 (2.3/6) ratings and second largest audience (3.4mil) this season.

Compared to a year ago, The CW improved its Thursday night by 109% in women 18-34, 46% in adults 18-34 (1.9/5), 67% in women 18-49 (2.0/5), 14% in adults 18-49 (1.6/4) and 55% in female teens (1.7/6).
