NICKELODEON RANKS AS BASIC CABLE'S TOP NETWORK WITH KIDS, TWEENS AND TOTAL VIEWERS FOR APRIL

SpongeBob SquarePants, The Penguins of Madagascar and Fanboy and Chum Chum rank as Top Three Animated Series on All TV with Kids 2-11 and Kids 6-11

Nick at Nite and Nick Jr. Score Most-Watched April with Total Viewers; Nicktoons and TeenNick Post Most-Watched April with Key Demos

NEW YORK- April 27, 2010-Nickelodeon closes April as basic cable's number-one network in total day with all key demos (kids 2-11, kids 6-11, tweens 9-14 and total viewers) for the month. According to Nielsen Media Research (3/29/10-4/25/10), Nickelodeon averaged 2.1 million total viewers, a 3.3/1.2 million K2-11, 2.9/622,000 K6-11 and 2.2/464,000 T9-14 in April.

Nickelodeon's hit animated series, SpongeBob SquarePants ranks as the number-one program on broadcast and basic cable in April and scored the number-one telecast ("SpongeBob's Last Stand", 4/22/10) with kids 2-11 for the month. Additionally, SpongeBob SquarePants, The Penguins of Madagascar and Fanboy and Chum Chum rank as April's top three animated series on broadcast and basic cable with kids 2-11 and kids 6-11. Nick's win was also fueled by strong performances by its hit live-action series including, Victorious, which following its March 27 premiere, scored basic cable's top spot with kids 6-11 in its time period for four straight weeks.

Nickelodeon also nabbed the top five preschool shows in April. Go, Diego, Go! is currently the top preschool program on all of television, followed by Team Umizoomi (#2), Dora the Explorer (#3), Max and Ruby (#4), and Wonder Pets! (#5).

Additionally, Nick at Nite, Nick Jr. and TeenNick networks each logged their best April performance ever with total viewers. Nick at Nite, finished the month with 1.6 million total viewers (+4% over last year) and as basic cable's top network among Women 18-49 (0.7/408,000).

Nickelodeon's 24-hour preschool network, Nick Jr. had its most-watched April ever with both total viewers (+13% in delivery) and preschoolers (+8% in rating). TeenNick-the only 24-hour network for and about teens-drew its most-watched April ever with teens 12-17 (+33%). Nicktoons also posted its highest-rated and most-watched April with kids 6-11 (+25% in rating), boys 6-11 (+2% in delivery), tweens 9-14 (+33% in rating) and boys 9-14 (+10% in delivery).
