MYTHBUSTERS FINISHES STRONG WITH MEN ON WEDNESDAY

-- Discovery finishes #2 in cable for Men 18-49, with strong lineup including premiere of Worst Case Scenario with Bear Grylls on May 5 --

The Wednesday, May 5, 2010 premiere episode of MYTHBUSTERS, Mythssion Control, was the #1 non-sports primetime (8P-11P) cable program among men (M25-54, M18-49 and M18-34) delivery. It finished #2 overall (no exclusions), coming in second only to the NBA Playoffs on TNT.

It was a strong night all around for Discovery, with the network finishing #2 in cable among men 18-49 delivery, behind TNT, hosting the NBA Playoffs. Among men 25-54, Discovery was #3 overall, and the season premiere of WORST CASE SCENARIO with Bear Grylls finished as the #4 & #5 non-sports, non-fiction cable programs in its time slot (10 and 10:30 PM).

MYTHBUSTERS surpassed several primetime broadcast telecasts on May 5, bringing in more men than several programs on ABC, FOX and NBC, including: ABC's The Middle for M25-54 and M18-49; ABC's Happy Town for M25-54 and M18-49; FOX's Lie to Me for M18-49 and NBC's Mercy for M25-54 and M18-49.
