A&E FINISHES BEST MAY IN NETWORK HISTORY AMONG TOTAL VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54
MAY 2010 MARKS THE 45th CONSECUTIVE MONTH THAT NETWORK FINISHES IN TOP 10 WITH ADULTS 25-54
NEW YORK, NY - June 2, 2010 - Continuing its ratings success, A&E enjoyed its best May ever among total viewers and the key adults 25-54 demographic. Fueled by the strength of the network's slate of original series, including strong performances from hit series "The First 48" and "Intervention," the network was up 5% in adults 25-54 (635,000) and 8% in total viewers (1.3 million) versus May 2009. For the month, A&E ranked #5 in adults 25-54 and #6 in total viewers among all entertainment cable networks.
For 2010 year-to-date, A&E currently ranks #4 among adults 18-49 and number #5 for both total viewers and adults 25-54, versus all entertainment cable networks.
May 2010 also marks the 45th consecutive month in which A&E has landed among the top 10 in adults 25-54.
Additionally, AETV.com witnessed the best May on record across all metrics, including 7% increase in page views, 11% increase in unique visitors, 25% growth in visits and an astonishing 91% jump in video views versus May 2009.
