UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - June 29, 2010 - Two editions of "America's Got Talent" delivered primetime television's #1 and #2 ratings of the week in both adults 18-49 and total viewers, leading NBC to an average 1.5 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49 and 5.2 million viewers overall for the week of June 21-27, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

For the week, NBC tied for #2 in primetime in adults 18-49 and adults 18-34 and tied for #1 in adults 25-54. NBC ranked #2 outright among the major networks in total viewers.

The Wednesday edition of "America's Got Talent," with a 3.5 rating in adults 18-49 and 12.4 million viewers overall, was the #1 program of the week in both adults 18-49 and total viewers. The Wednesday edition of "Talent" also ranked #1 this week in adults 18-34, men and women 18-49 and other key demographics.

The Tuesday edition of "America's Got Talent," with a 3.4 rating in adults 18-49 and 11.7 million viewers overall was the #2 program of the week in both measures. Tuesday's "Talent" demonstrated the show's broad appeal by simultaneously ranking #1 among all programs this week in two diverse demographics: adults 25-54 and teens 12-17.

Also ranking among the top 20 programs of the week in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49, were the Wednesday encore telecast of "Talent" (#13) and Monday's "Last Comic Standing" (#18, tied)

Primetime averages for the week of June 21-27 in adults 18-49 were Fox (1.7/6), NBC and ABC (1.5/5), CBS (1.3/4) and CW (0.4/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (6.2 million), NBC (5.2 million), ABC (5.1 million), Fox (4.5 million) and CW (0.9 million).

NBC highlights for the week of June 21-27

* On Monday, "Last Comic Standing" was up 29 percent in 18-49 rating versus NBC's non-sports average in the time period last summer. "Last Comic" ranked #1 among the major networks in its time period in men 18-34 and #2 in adults and women 18-34, men 18-49 and men 25-54.

* On Tuesday, "America's Got Talent" was the #1 program of the night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures, outscoring such primetime rivals as "Hell's Kitchen" on Fox and the season premieres of "Wipeout" and "Downfall" on ABC. In its two-hour time period, "Talent" ranked #1 in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures.

* Week-to-week, the Tuesday edition of "America's Got Talent" was up 13 percent in 18-49 rating and 10 percent or more than 1.0 million persons in total viewers

* From its first half-hour to its fourth, the Tuesday "Talent" increased by 32 percent in 18-49 rating and by 23 percent or more than 2.3 million persons in total viewers. In its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" topped the combined programming on ABC and CBS by 61 percent in 18-49 rating and by 31 percent or more than 2.9 million persons in total viewers

* On Wednesday, "America's Got Talent" matched the highest 18-49 rating for any Wednesday edition of "Talent" in nearly four years, equaling the 3.5 rating for last season's "Talent" finale on September 16, 2009. "Talent" also delivered NBC's top non-Olympic 18-49 rating and total viewer result in the Wednesday 9-10 p.m. time period since that same September 16, 2009 date.

* "America's Got Talent" was the #1 show of the night Wednesday in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures. "Talent" ranked #1 in its hour in adults 18-49, total viewers and most other key measures.

* Week-to-week, the Wednesday "Talent" was up 13 percent in 18-49 rating and 6 percent in total viewers. The Wednesday edition of "Talent" has grown with each telecast so far this season in both adults 18-49 and total viewers.

* Also on Wednesday, an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" ranked #1 among the major networks in the 8-9 p.m. ET hour in total viewers and all key adult-male demographics and #2 in adults 18-49 and all other key measures.

* Additionally on Wednesday, a rebroadcast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" ranked #1 among the major networks in the hour in adults 18-49 and other key measures.

* NBC ranked #1 in primetime Wednesday in adults 25-54 and total viewers and #2 in adults 18-49, with a 2.4/7 from 8-11 p.m. ET in adults 18-49 versus Fox's 2.5/8 from 8-10 p.m. In head-to-head competition from 8-10 p.m. ET, NBC topped Fox in adults 18-49 (2.7 vs. 2.5).

* On Friday, "Friday Night Lights" tied for #1 among the major networks in the time period in adults 18-49, marking the fifth straight week the critically acclaimed drama has ranked #1 or tied for #1 in adults 18-49 in the Friday 8-9 p.m. hour. "Lights" also tied for #1 in adults and men 18-34 and ranked #1 outright in men 18-49 and men 25-54.

* On Saturday, an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" ranked #1 among the major networks from 8-10 p.m. ET in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. Versus its prior Saturday rebroadcast, the "Talent" encore was up 57 percent in adults 18-49 and 33 percent in total viewers.

* NBC ranked #1 among the major networks in primetime Saturday in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and other key demographics.

* On Sunday, the 10 p.m. ET edition of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" ranked #1 among the major networks in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures versus CBS's second hour of the Daytime Emmys and ABC's original series "The Gates." Week-to-week, the Sunday 10 p.m. ET "Criminal Intent" was up 30 percent in adults 18-49 and 50 percent in total viewers.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

On Monday, June 21 from 9-10 p.m. ET, "Last Comic Standing" (1.8 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall) ranked #1 among the major networks in its time period in men 18-34 and #2 in adults and women 18-34, men 18-49 and men 25-54. "Last Comic" improved on NBC's non-sports 18-49 average in this time period last summer by 29 percent (1.8 vs. 1.4). "Last Comic Standing" built by 64 percent in 18-49 rating and 43 percent in total viewers versus its lead-in from the previous hour -- a 1.1/4 in 18-49 and 2.9 million viewers overall for an encore telecast of "Last Comic Standing" from 8- 9 p.m.

Monday from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Persons Unknown" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 2.9 million persons overall) ranked #2 among the major networks in women 18-34 and tied for #2 in adults and men 18-34.

On Tuesday, June 22 at 8 p.m. ET, "Losing It With Jillian" averaged a 1.2/4 in adults 18-49 and 3.7 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, "Losing It" gained 9 percent in adults 18-49 (1.2 vs. 1.1), 14 percent in adults 25-54 (1.6 vs. 1.4) and 22 percent in adults 18-34 (1.1 vs. 0.9).

Tuesday from 9-10 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (3.4/10 in adults 18-49, 11.7 million viewers overall) was the #1 program of the night in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures, outscoring such tough primetime rivals as "Hell's Kitchen" on Fox and the season premieres of "Wipeout" and "Downfall" on ABC. In its two-hour time period, "Talent" ranked #1 in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures.

Week-to-week, the Tuesday edition of "America's Got Talent" was up 13 percent in 18-49 rating (3.4 vs. a 3.0 for a one-hour edition from 9-10 p.m. on June 15) and up 10 percent or more than 1.0 million persons in total viewers (11.7 million vs. 10.6 million).

From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Talent" increased by 32 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.7/11 from a 2.8/6) and by 23 percent or more than 2.3 million persons in total viewers (to 12.4 million from 10.1 million). In its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" topped the combined programming on ABC and CBS by 61 percent in 18-49 rating (a 3.7 for "Talent" vs. a 2.3 combined for the premiere of ABC's "Primetime: Mind Games" and CBS's "Good Wife" encore) and by 31 percent or more than 2.9 million persons in total viewers (12.4 million for "Talent" vs. 9.5 million for ABC-CBS combined in the hour).

On Wednesday, June 23 from 8-9 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" (2.0/7 in 18-49, 7.4 million viewers overall) ranked #1 among the major networks in the hour in total viewers and all key adult-male demographics and #2 in adults 18-49 and all other key measures. The "Talent" encore was up 25 percent in 18-49 rating and 10 percent in total viewers versus the prior Wednesday's rebroadcast in this time period (a 1.6/6 in 18-49 and 6.7 million viewers on June 16). From its first half-hour to its second, the "Talent" rebroadcast increased by 35 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.3/8 from a 1.7/6) and 21 percent or more than 1.3 million persons in total viewers (to 8.0 million from 6.7 million).

Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET, an original episode of "America's Got Talent" (3.5/10 in 18-49, 12.4 million viewers overall) matched the highest 18-49 rating for any Wednesday edition of "Talent" in nearly four years (since July 5. 2006 during the show's first season), matching the 3.5 rating for last season's "Talent" finale on September 16, 2009. In total viewers, it was the top Wednesday telecast of "Talent" since last year's September 16, 2009 finale (15.8 million). "Talent" also delivered NBC's top non-Olympics 18-49 rating and total viewer result in the Wednesday 9-10 p.m. time period since that same September 16, 2009 date

"America's Got Talent" won the 9-10 p.m. ET hour in adults, men and women 18-49; adults, men and women 25-54; total viewers and other key measures. Versus the prior Wednesday, "America's Got Talent" is up 13 percent in 18-49 rating (3.5 vs. a 3.1) and 6 percent in total viewers (12.4 million vs. 11.6 million). The Wednesday edition of "Talent" has grown with each telecast so far this season in both adults 18-49 and total viewers.

"America's Got Talent" was the #1 show of the night on Wednesday in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures.

From its first half-hour to its second, Wednesday's "Talent" grew by 16 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 3.7 rating from a 3.2) and by 14 percent or more than 1.6 million persons in total viewers (to 13.2 million from 11.6 million).

Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.6/5 in 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall) ranked #1 among the major networks in the hour in adults 18-49 and other key measures, topping ABC's first-run "Jimmy Kimmel Live Twilight Saga" special and CBS's "CSI: NY" encore.

NBC ranked #1 in primetime in adults 25-54 and total viewers and #2 in adults 18-49, with a 2.4/7 from 8-11 p.m. ET in adults 18-49 versus Fox's 2.5/8 from 8-10 p.m. In head-to-head competition from 8-10 p.m. ET, NBC topped Fox in adults 18-49 (2.7 vs. 2.5).

On Thursday, June 24 at 8 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Community" delivered a 0.7/3 in 18-49 and 2.2 million viewers overall and from 8:30-9 p.m., "100 Questions" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 1.7 million viewers overall.

Thursday from 9-9:31 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The Office" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 2.3 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 67 percent in adults 18-49. From 9:31-10 p.m., a rebroadcast of "30 Rock" delivered a 0.8/3 in 18-49 and 2.0 million viewers overall.

Thursday from 10-10:31 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The Office" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 2.2 million viewers overall) was up versus the prior week's "Office" rebroadcast in this slot by 11 percent in 18-49 rating (1.0 vs. 0.9) and 8 percent in total viewers (2.2 million vs. 2.1 million). From 10:31-11 p.m., a rebroadcast of "Parks and Recreation" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 2.0 million viewers overall) was up week-to-week by 14 percent in 18-49 rating (0.8 vs. 0.7) and 7 percent in total viewers (2.0 million vs.1.8 million). .

On Friday, June 25 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Friday Night Lights" (1.1/5 in adults 18-49, 3.5 million viewers overall) tied for #1 among the major networks in the time period in adults 18-49, marking the fifth straight week in which the critically acclaimed drama has ranked #1 or tied for #1 in adults 18-49 in the Friday 8-9 p.m. hour. The 1.1 rating in adults 18-49 matches the highest 18-49 rating for any major network in this time slot in five weeks. "Lights" also tied for #1 in adults and men 18-34 and ranked #1 outright in men 18-49 and men 25-54.

Friday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" reported a 1.1/4 in 18-49 and 4.3 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" increased by 30 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.3 from a 1.0) and by 37 percent or more than 1.3 million persons in total viewers (to 5.1 million from 3.7 million).

On Saturday, June 26 from 8-10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent"(1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall) ranked #1 among the major networks in its time period in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. The "Talent" rebroadcast was up 57 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.1 from a 0.7) and up 33 percent or more than 1.0 million persons in total viewers (4.2 million vs. 3.2 million) versus its prior Saturday rebroadcast from 8-9 p.m. on Saturday, June 12.

From its first half-hour to its fourth, "America's Got Talent" increased by 63 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.3/5 from a 0.8/4) and by 40 percent or 1.4 million persons in total viewers (to 4.8 million from 3.4 million).

In head-to-head competition from 7-8 p.m., "Dateline" was higher-rated than CBS's "60 Minutes" in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and other key demos. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" increased by 44 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.3 from a 0.9) and by 49 percent or more than 2.0 million persons in total viewers (to 6.3 million from 4.2 million).

Sunday at 9 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among the major networks in total viewers, women 18-49 and women 25-54.

Sunday at 10 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall) ranked #1 among the major networks in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers versus CBS's second hour of the Daytime Emmys and ABC's original series "The Gates." "Law & Order: CI" was also #1 among men and women 18-49 and men and women 25-54.

Versus its 1.0 among adults 18-49 in the 10 p.m. hour on the prior Sunday, this week's "Law & Order: CI" was up 30 percent. In total viewers, "Law & Order: CI" was up week-to-week by 50 percent or more than 1.7 million persons (5.2 million vs. 3.5 million).
