UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - July 27, 2010 - Led by the Tuesday edition of "America's Got Talent," which was the top program of the week in total viewers and the #3 program in 18-49, NBC averaged a 1.4 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49 and 5.0 million viewers overall for the week of July 19-25, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research. For the week, NBC ranked #3 in primetime in adults 18-49 and tied for #2 in adults 18-34. NBC also tied for #2 in men 18-49 and finished #2 outright among men 18-34.

Tuesday's "America's Got Talent" ranked #3 among all primetime programs this week in adults 18-49. In total viewers, the Tuesday "America's Got Talent" was the #1 program of the week. An edition of "America's Got Talent" has been the #1 non-sports telecast in total viewers every week the show has aired this summer, a streak that has now reached eight weeks in a row.

The Wednesday edition of "America's Got Talent" ranked #6 this week (tied) in adults 18-49 and #3 in total viewers. Also delivering top-25 ratings for the week in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49 were Wednesday's "Minute to Win It" (#17, tied) and Monday's "Last Comic Standing" (#25, tied).

Primetime averages for the week of July 19-25 in adults 18-49 were Fox (1.7/6), ABC (1.5/5), NBC and CBS (1.4/5) and CW (0.4/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (5.9 million), ABC and NBC (5.0 million), Fox (4.5 million) and CW (1.1 million).

NBC highlights for the week of July 19-25

* On Tuesday, "America's Got Talent" was the #1 show of the night in overall viewership, pacing NBC to a nightly win by that measure

* The Tuesday "Talent" grew significantly from its first half-hour to its fourth. For its concluding hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" beat the combined ABC-CBS results in every key ratings category -- adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49, 25-54 and total viewers -- plus teens 12-17 and kids 2-11. "Talent" doubled the combined ABC-CBS rating from 10-11 p.m. in adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demos.

* On Wednesday, "America's Got Talent" was the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures.

* The Wednesday "Talent" won its time period in 18-49, total viewers and nearly all other key measures, taking the hour by a margin of 18 percent in adults 18-49 and by 50 percent or more than 3.3 million persons in total viewers.

* Also on Wednesday, "Minute to Win It" grew from its first half-hour to its second by 18 percent in 18-49 rating and 16 percent in total viewers. For its second half-hour from 8:30-9 p.m. ET, "Minute" finished within 0.1 of a rating point of first place in adults 18-49 and ranked #1 in total viewers and all key male demos in a time period that included competition from CBS's "Big Brother" and Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance."

* Additionally on Wednesday, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" ranked #1 among the major networks in adults 18-49 and all other key demographics. In adults 18-49, "SVU" has now ranked #1 or tied for #1 in the Wednesday 10 p.m. ET time period with its last seven consecutive telecasts.

* NBC ranked #1 in primetime Wednesday in adults 25-54 and total viewers and #2 in adults 18-49, with a 2.0/7 from 8-11 p.m. ET in adults 18-49 versus Fox's 2.1/7 from 8-10 p.m. In head-to-head competition from 8-10 p.m., NBC topped Fox in adults 18-49 (2.2 vs. 2.1).

* On Thursday, an encore telecast of "The Office" scored the show's highest regular-slot 18-49 rating and biggest overall audience since the "Office" season finale in May.

* Also on Thursday, encore telecasts of "Community," "30 Rock" and "Parks and Recreation" all matched adult 18-49 highs since early June and "30 Rock" hit a summer high for the network in total viewers for the Thursday 8:30 p.m. ET half-hour.

* Additionally on Thursday, a rebroadcast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" at 10 p.m. ET matched NBC's highest 18-49 rating in this time period since June 10 and hit a summer high for the network in the hour in total viewers.

* On Friday, a two-hour "Dateline NBC" grew versus the prior week's 10-11 p.m. ET telecast by 39 percent in total viewers.

* On Sunday, "Dateline NBC" reported its highest 18-49 rating in the 7-8 p.m. ET hour since June 13.

* Also on Sunday, a two-hour encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" won its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key categories.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

On Monday, July 12 from 9-10 p.m. ET, "Last Comic Standing" (1.7 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among the major networks in the hour in adults, men and women 18-34. "Last Comic" built by 45 percent in 18-49 rating on its lead-in from the previous hour - a 1.1/4 in 18-49 and 4.5 million viewers overall for an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" from 8-9 p.m. ET.

Monday at 10 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall) tied for #2 among the major networks in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, ranked #2 outright in adults, men and women 18-34 and was #1 in men 18-49.

On Tuesday, July 13 at 8 p.m. ET, "Losing It With Jillian" averaged a 1.1/4 in 18-49 and 3.7 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, "Jillian" increased by 9 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.2 rating from a 1.1) and by 13 percent among women 18-49 (to a 1.7 from a 1.5).

Tuesday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (3.0/9 in 18-49, 10.5 million viewers overall) was the #1 show of the night in overall viewership. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Talent" increased by 19 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.2/10 from a 2.7/8) and by 9 percent in total viewers (10.7 million vs. 9.8 million).

For its concluding hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" was a dominant #1 among the major networks in every key ratings category, beating the combined ABC-CBS results in adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49, 25-54, total viewers, teens 12-17 and kids 2-11. "Talent" doubled the combined ABC-CBS rating from 10-11 p.m. in adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demos.

NBC ranked #2 in primetime Tuesday night in adults 18-49 and #1 in total viewers.

On Wednesday, July 21 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Minute to Win It" (1.8/6 in 18-49, 6.2 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among the major networks in total viewers and tied for #2 in men 18-49 and men 25-54.

From its first half-hour to its second, "Minute to Win It" increased by 18 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.0/7 from a 1.7/6) and 16 percent in total viewers (to 6.6 million from 5.7 million). For its second half-hour from 8:30-9 p.m., "Minute to Win It" finished within 0.1 of a rating point of first place in adults 18-49 and ranked #1 in total viewers, men 18-34 (tied), men 18-49 and men 25-54 in a time period that included competition from CBS's "Big Brother" and Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance."

Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (2.6/8 in 18-49, 10.0 million viewers overall) delivered the #1 results of the night in adults 18-49 and total viewers. "America's Got Talent" won its time period in 18-49, total viewers and most other key measures. "Talent" took the hour by a margin of 18 percent in adults 18-49 (2.6 vs. 2.2 for Fox's second-place "So You Think You Can Dance") and by 50 percent or 3.3 million persons in total viewers (10.0 million vs. 6.7 million for CBS's second-place "Criminal Minds" encore).

Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.5/5 in adults 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall) ranked #1 among the major networks in adults 18-49 and all other key demographics (including ties). In adults 18-49, "SVU" has now ranked #1 or tied for #1 in this time period with its last seven consecutive telecasts.

NBC ranked #1 in primetime Wednesday in adults 25-54 and total viewers and #2 in adults 18-49, with a 2.0/7 from 8-11 p.m. ET versus Fox's 2.1/7 from 8-10 p.m. In head-to-head competition from 8-10 p.m., NBC topped Fox in adults 18-49 (2.2 vs. 2.1).

On Thursday, July 22 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Community" averaged a 0.8/3 in 18-49 and 2.8 million viewers overall, matching its highest 18-49 rating in this slot since June 10 and delivering its biggest overall audience in this time period since that same date.

Thursday from 8:30-9 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "30 Rock" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 2.7 million viewers overall) matched NBC's highest 18-49 rating in this time period since June 3 and hit a summer high in the slot in total viewers.

Thursday from 9-9:31 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The Office' (1.4/5 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall) filed its highest regular-slot 18-49 rating and biggest overall viewership since the show's season finale on May 20. Week-to-week, "The Office" was up 17 percent in 18-49 rating (1.4 vs. 1.2) and 11 percent in total viewers (3.3 million vs. 3.0 million). In the time period, "The Office" ranked #1 in men 18-34 and men 18-49.

Thursday from 9:31-10 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Parks and Recreation" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 2.4 million viewers overall) matched the show's highest 18-49 rating since June 3 and delivered its biggest overall audience since that same date (prior to July 15, "Parks" aired in the 10:30 p.m. half-hour).

Thursday at 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall) matched NBC's highest 18-49 rating in this time period since June 10 and hit a summer high for the network in this hour in total viewers. In the time period, "SVU" ranked #2 or tied for #2 among the major networks in most key demos and tied for #1 in men 18-34.

On Friday, July 23 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Friday Night Lights" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 3.5 million viewers overall) tied for #2 in the time period in adults 18-49 and was #1 among the major networks in men 18-34 (tie), men 18-49 and men 25-54.

Friday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.2/4 in adults 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall) matched its highest Friday 18-49 rating in six weeks (since June 11). Versus the prior week's 10-11 p.m. telecast, "Dateline" was up 9 percent in 18-49 rating (1.2 vs. 1.1) and up 39 percent or more than 1.4 million persons in total viewers (5.2 million vs. 3.7 million).

"Dateline" ranked #2 in the time period in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key categories. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" increased by 40 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.4 from a 1.0) and by 33 percent or 1.5 million persons in total viewers (6.0 million vs. 4.5 million).

On Saturday, July 24 at 8 p.m. ET, "Persons Unknown" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 2.1 million viewers overall. Versus the prior week, "Persons Unknown" was up 21 percent in total viewers (2.0 million vs. 1.7 million).

Saturday at 9 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" delivered a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 2.9 million viewers overall.

Saturday at 10 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in the time period in adults 18-49, total viewers and most other key categories. "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" locked up NBC's top 18-49 rating in this slot in four weeks (since June 26) and biggest overall viewership in five weeks (since June 19). Versus the prior week, "Law & Order: CI" was up 25 percent in 18-49 rating (1.0 vs. 0.8) and 15 percent in total viewers (4.4 million vs. 3.8 million).

On Sunday, July 25 from 7-8 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall) reported its highest 18-49 rating in this time period since June 13. "Dateline" ranked #2 in the time slot among the major networks in adults 18-49 ahead of CBS's "60 Minutes." From its first half-hour to its second, "Dateline" increased its 18-49 rating by 20 percent (to a 1.2 from a 1.0) and its overall viewership by 15 percent (to 5.0 million from 4.4 million).

Sunday from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" averaged a 0.8/3 in 18-49 and 4.2 million viewers overall.

Sunday from 9-11 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" delivered a 1.1/3 in 18-49 and 3.8 million viewers overall. For its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, the "America's Got Talent" encore ranked #1 in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key categories.
