"SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL" NO. 1 SHOW OF THE NIGHT FOR 9TH STRAIGHT SUNDAY DESPITE PACKERS 45-7 BLOWOUT OVER 1-7 COWBOYS

Milwaukee (45.8) and Dallas (27.8) Lead All Metered Markets

NEW YORK - November 8, 2010 - Despite the 45-7 blowout that saw the Green Bay Packers dismantle the 1-7 Dallas Cowboys, last night's "Sunday Night Football" game was the No. 1 program on Sunday Night for the ninth straight week, according to overnight data released today by The Nielsen Company. The game, which was seemingly out of hand in the 2nd quarter as the Packers went ahead 28-0, earned a 12.4 overnight rating and 19 share (from 8:30-11:15 p.m. ET).

DEFEATED ALL SUNDAY NIGHT COMPETITION: Last night's "Sunday Night Football" broadcast defeated all Sunday Night competition for the ninth time in nine weeks, including original broadcasts of ABC's Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters, and CBS's 60 Minutes (featuring an interview with President Barack Obama), Amazing Race, and Undercover Boss and Fox's The Simpsons, The Cleveland Show, and Family Guy.

SNF IS 9 FOR 9: When the viewership is available tomorrow from Nielsen, "Sunday Night Football" is expected to be the most-watched Sunday night show for the ninth consecutive week (every week this season). Last season, SNF was the most-watched Sunday night primetime broadcast in a record 15 of 16 (94 percent) weeks. In 2008, SNF won 13 of 16 (81 percent) Sunday nights after winning 11 of 16 in 2007 (69 percent) and nine of 16 in 2006 (56 percent).

The 12.4 overnight rating is up five percent from last week's SNF game featuring the Steelers vs. Saints (11.8).

The rating peaked at a 13.8/20 from 9-10 p.m. ET leading into halftime with the score 28-7.

Last year's Week 9 SNF game featured the 4-2 Cowboys against the 4-2 Eagles in an NFC East rivalry in which the Cowboys won a close game 20-16. That game registered a 14.3 overnight rating and a 23 share.
