ABC's Original Tuesday Dramas Enjoy Solid Week-to-Week Gains
Some early points on ABC's Tuesday night, ahead of the regular press release.
The 2nd season finale of ABC's V posted gains over the prior week in all key Adult and Men demos, drawing the show's largest overall audience and its highest Men 18-34 and Men 25-54 numbers in 4 weeks - since 2/15/11. Further, V matched its highest rating in Men 18-49 since mid-January - since 1/18/11. The ABC drama ranked #1 in the 9 o'clock hour in Men 18-49, standing as the #2 TV show on Tuesday.
Surging week-to-week in Total Viewers (+14%) and Adults 18-49 (+18%), ABC's Detroit 1-8-7 earned its top numbers since the beginning of December - since 12/7/10. Detroit 1-8-7 ran #2 against its CBS and NBC competition in the 10 o'clock hour among viewers and young adults, while finishing #1 in the hour in key Men (M18-49/M25-54). The ABC drama achieved 15-week highs in both Men 18-49 and Men 25-54. Detroit 1-8-7 continued to draw a larger audience year to year to Tuesday's 10pm hour for ABC, improving 35% over the year-ago night with original drama programming (FlashForward on 3/16/10).
