HISTORY(R) CONTINUES ITS RATINGS SUCCESS WITH THURSDAY NIGHT DEBUT OF "MOUNTED IN ALASKA"
Secures 2.3 Million Total Viewers
New York, March 7, 2011 - HISTORY's series opener of MOUNTED IN ALASKA, on Thursday, April 7 at 10:00 pm ET, yielded strong ratings for the network and set a new record, among all key demos, as HISTORY's best-ever original series launch on a Thursday night.
The series premiere earned 2.3 million total viewers, 1.4 million adults 18-49 and 1.3 million adults 25-54.
The roots of taxidermy date back to ancient times, and can even be traced through such famous taxidermists as Charles Darwin, Thomas Jefferson and Theodore Roosevelt. Now, the exciting, entertaining and often surprising world of taxidermy is revealed in a new half-hour personality-driven series, MOUNTED IN ALASKA, which premiered on Thursday, April 7 with back-to-back episodes at 10/10:30pm ET and airs on Thursdays at 10pm thereafter.
