'LAST CALL WITH CARSON DALY' IS UP VERSUS THE SAME WEEK LAST YEAR BY 14 PERCENT IN 18-49 VIEWERS AND 17 PERCENT IN TOTAL VIEWERS

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - June 16, 2011 - NBC's late-night lineup has generated winning ratings for the week of June 6-10, with "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" out-delivering all cable and regular broadcast competition in the 11:35 p.m. ET hour in adults18-49, total viewers and other key measures, while "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" attracted its biggest weekly viewership of 2011 in both adults 18-49 and total viewers.

Note that NBC's Friday results are excluded due to an NHL overrun. ABC's late-night programs were delayed on Tuesday and Thursday due to the NBA Finals but are included in the weekly averages. Additionally, the Monday, Wednesday and Friday telecasts of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" were rebroadcasts and CBS's Friday "Late Show with David Letterman" was a rebroadcast.

"Tonight" delivered its biggest weekly viewership (4.129 million) in 18 weeks (since the week of January 31-February 4). "Tonight" generated bigger audiences than CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" in all key categories and topped ABC's combination of "Nightline" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in virtually all key measures, including adults 18-34, adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers.

Versus the same week last year, "Tonight" was up 7 percent in 18-49 viewers (1.313 million vs. 1.229 million) and 15 percent in total viewers (4.129 million vs. 3.586 million).

"Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" delivered its biggest overall viewership (1.933 million) since the week of December 13-17, 2010 and its biggest viewership in adults 18-49 (881,000) since the week of December 20-24, 2010.

Jimmy Fallon topped CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in all key measures, with winning margins of 39 percent in total viewers (1.313 million vs. 948,000) and 51 percent in 18-49 viewers (881,000 vs. 585,000). Among adult 18-34 viewers, "Late Night" topped "Late Late Show" by 64 percent (339,000 vs. 207,000). In fact, Jimmy Fallon also topped Letterman in 18-34 viewers by 21 percent (339,000 vs. 281,000) despite Letterman's earlier start time.

Versus the same week last year, "Late Night" was up this week by 21 percent in 18-49 viewers (881,000 vs. 730,000) and 28 percent in total viewers (1.933 million vs. 1.509 million).

So far during the 2010-11 television season versus the first 38 weeks of last season, "Tonight" is up by 15 percent in total viewers (3.875 million vs. 3.366 million), while "Late Show" is down 9 percent (3.521 million vs. 3.863 million). At 12:35 a.m. ET, Jimmy Fallon is up 14 percent versus his year-ago pace in total viewers (1.773 million vs. 1.558 million), while "Late Late Show" is down 7 percent (1.739 million vs. 1.864 million).

At 1:35 a.m. ET, "Last Call with Carson Daly" this week was up 14 percent in 18-49 viewers versus the same week last year (509,000 vs. 446,000) and up 17 percent in total viewers (1.023 million vs. 874,000). Season to date, "Last Call" is up versus one year ago by 5 percent in 18-49 viewers (495,000 vs. 471,000) and up 14 percent in total viewers (989,000 vs. 864,000). For the week of June 6-10, "Last Call" tied CBS's "Late Late Show" in 18-49 rating (each with a 0.4), though "Last Call" airs an hour later than "Late Late Show."

Jay Leno has ranked #1 for 36 of 38 weeks this season versus "Late Show" in viewers 18-49 and total viewers. Jimmy Fallon has ranked #1 versus "Late Late Show" in viewers 18-49 for 38 of 38 weeks this season. In total viewers, Jimmy has out-delivered "Late Late Show" during 23 of the last 30 weeks.
