HISTORY(R) POSTS BEST JULY IN NETWORK HISTORY

Ratings Driven by Original Hit Series ... AMERICAN PICKERS, AMERICAN RESTORATION, ICE ROAD TRUCKERS, PAWN STARS, SWAMP PEOPLE and TOP GEAR

Tuesday, August 02, 2011 - HISTORY experienced its best July of all time with regularly scheduled hit series leading the charge on Sunday nights - with Ice Road Truckers and Top Gear - Monday nights - with American Pickers and Pawn Stars - Thursday nights - with Swamp People - and Friday nights - with American Restoration.

July 2011 vs. July 2010:

Total Viewers: 2.1 million vs. 1.5 million, up +40%

Adults 25-54: 1.0 million vs. 756,000, up +32%

Adults 18-49: 914,000 vs. 681,000, up +34%

For the second consecutive month, HISTORY ranked #2 in primetime among Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49.

HISTORY's July 11th crossover event - featuring a lineup of its wildly popular "trash-to-treasure" strand American Pickers, American Restoration and Pawn Stars - scored a round of stellar ratings for the network from 9-11pm with an average of 6.7 million total viewers, 3.1 million Adults 25-54 and 2.9 million Adults 18-49. And over the course of a week, over 30 million viewers tuned-in to a portion of the crossover event.

Season 2 of Swamp People wrapped on Thursday, July 21 with a series high of 5.5 million total viewers, 2.8 million Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49. Overall, the season averaged 4.1 million total viewers, 2.1 million Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49, and was up 32% v season 1.

Top Gear's second season premiered on Sunday, July 24 at 10pm to 2 million total viewers, 1.2 million Adults 18-49 and 1.1 million Adults 25-54. The second week of season 2, on Sunday, July 31 at 10pm, drew a best-ever for the series with 2.13 million total viewers.
