Season to Date, "Jay" and "Jimmy" Increase Their Total-Viewer Margins vs. Last Year

NBC RATINGS RESULTS FOR THE LATE-NIGHT WEEK OF NOV. 14-18

SEASON TO DATE, JAY AND JIMMY INCREASE THEIR TOTAL-VIEWER MARGINS VS. LAST YEAR

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - November 28, 2011 - NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" has averaged a 0.8 rating, 3 share in adults 18-49 and 3.6 million viewers overall for the week of November 14-18. In adults 18-34, "Tonight" out-delivered CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" and ABC's combination of "Nightline" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" for the week. "Tonight" also topped ABC's hour of "Nightline" and "Kimmel" in viewers 18-49, viewers 25-54, total viewers and other key demographics.

At 12:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" averaged a 0.5/3 in 18-49 and 1.7 million viewers overall. "Late Night" delivered a bigger audience than CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" and ABC's "Kimmel" in adults 18-34, while increasing its 18-34 margin over "Late Late Show" versus the same week last year up to 19 percent (291,000 vs. 244,000) from the year-ago 5 percent.

Through the first nine weeks of the season, "Tonight" has increased its total-viewer margin over "Late Show" to 9 percent (3.647 million vs. 3.359 million), up from the year-ago season-to-date advantage of 3 percent. Jimmy Fallon has established a total-viewer lead over "Late Late Show" this season of 11 percent (1.754 million vs. 1.580 million), after trailing by 4 percent one year ago. Jimmy has also increased his season-to-date lead over "Late Late Show" in adults 18-34, to 34 percent (294,000 vs. 219,000), up from last year's 24 percent, and in adults 25-54, up to 4 percent (860,000 vs. 824,000) after trailing by 1 percent at this point last season.
