Cartoon Network's "Adventure Time" Season 4 Premiere Scores as #1 Telecast of the Day on All Television Among Kids, Out-Performing Competition by Double & Triple Digits

Award-winning Animated Comedy Pushes Cartoon Network's Monday Night to #1 Among All Kids & Boys Demos

Adventure Time, Cartoon Network's hit animated comedy series returned Monday night, April 2 (7:30 p.m.) with its fourth season, scoring as the #1 telecast of the day among all targeted kids - ages 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14 - earning double and triple-digit growth vs. last year's time period, according to Nielsen Media Research. The season's first half-hour episode "Hot to the Touch" also out-paced all kids competition, by double and triple digits ranging between 20% and 353%, and propelled Cartoon Network's entire Monday night prime time (7-9 p.m.) line-up of animated comedies to #1 on all television among kids 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14, as well as boys 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14. Additionally, Adventure Time attracted more than 2.6 million viewers 2+, up a remarkable 96% vs. the same time period last year.

Highlights of Adventure Time's fourth season premiere performance, compared to the same 2011 time period, include the following:

· Kids 2-11 delivery (1,371,000) increased by 47%, and ratings (3.3) by 50%

· Kids 6-11 delivery (1,018,000) increased by 47%, and ratings (4.2) by 50%

· Kids 9-14 delivery (911,000) increased by 94%, and ratings (3.8) by 100%

· Boys 2-11 delivery (955,000) increased by 57%, and ratings (4.5) by 55%

· Boys 6-11 delivery (734,000) increased by 55%, and ratings (5.9) by 59%

· Boy 9-14 delivery (619,000) increased by 75%, and ratings (5.0) by 79%

· Total Viewers 2+ delivery (2,655,000) increased by 96%

Recently nominated for its second Primetime Emmy(R) Award for "Outstanding Short-format Animated Program" as well as an Annie Award for "Best Animated Television Production for Children," Adventure Time has become a genuine ratings and pop culture phenomenon since its April 2010 debut. Across 1st Quarter this year, season three of the series ranked as the #1 program on Monday nights (7-9 p.m.) on all television among boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14; and #1 in its time period will all key kid demos (Nielsen Media Research). Creatively, the upcoming fourth season will feature guest voices by Donald Faison, George Takei, Erik Estrada, Andy Milonakis, Emo Phillips, Bobcat Goldthwait and Susie Essman.

To support the show digitally, CartoonNetwork.com - the #1 domain in the kids category among kids 6-11 (comScore Media Metrix) - introduced a new Adventure Time game this season, "Jake's Tough Break," available as of Monday, March 26. Players use Jake's removable limbs to track down the mighty Magic Man's hat and break his curse. Adventure Time's show page also is CartoonNetwork.com's most highly-trafficked, year-to-date.

Along with a new season and a new game, fans can enjoy Adventure Time: It Came from the Nightosphere, a recently released DVD featuring 16 episodes from the series' first three magical seasons, plus a "Little Did You Know" character profile bonus feature.

Adventure Time follows unlikely heroes Finn and Jake, buddies who traverse the mystical Land of Ooo and encounter its colorful inhabitants.
