Disney Channel: Total Day and Prime Highlights

During the week of April 16, 2012, Disney Channel dominated the competition for the 3rd week in a row, sweeping TV's #1 rank across key Kids 2-11 (839,000/2.0 rating), Kids 6-11 (531,000/2.2 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (441,000/1.8 rating), and ranking as cable TV's #1 network for the 3rd consecutive week in Total Viewers (1.49 million). Impressively, this marked Disney Channel's 45th consecutive week claiming TV's #1 ranking on a total day basis in Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 (dates back to June 13, 2011) and the 7th time in the previous 8 weeks in Kids 2-11. It stood as the #1 cable TV network in Total Viewers for the 6th time in the prior 7 weeks.

Disney Channel recorded double-digit percent wins over Nickelodeon for the 24th consecutive week in Kids 6-11 (+39% - 531,000 vs. 382,000) and for the 26th consecutive week in Tweens 9-14 (+47% - 441,000 vs. 301,000) - marking the network's longest period on record delivering such substantial victories in the core demographics - and held a double-digit percent advantage for the 2nd time in the previous 3 weeks in Kids 2-11 (+10% - 839,000 vs. 765,000).

In Prime, Disney Channel qualified as the #1 cable TV network on a weekly basis for the 361st consecutive week in Kids 6-11 (1.03 million/4.2 rating), or close to 7 years in the key demographic. In Tweens 9-14 (833,000/3.5 rating), the network was #1 for the 96th straight, and for the 358th time in the previous 361 weeks overall.

Sunday's all-new "Austin & Ally" stood as the week's #1 TV telecast in Kids 6-11 (1.25 million/5.1 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (1.26 million/5.2 rating), while Saturday morning's "Monsters, Inc." was the #1 TV telecast in Kids 2-11 (2.23 million/5.4 rating).
