"The Bachelorette: Men Tell All" Improves Year-to-Year by 1.5 Million and 29% in Adults 18-49

With its lineup of The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All and The Glass House, ABC finished second on the night, beating NBC (including originals of Fear Factor and American Ninja Warrior) by 50% in Total Viewers and by 29% in Adults 18-49.

ABC's The Bachelorette: The Men Tell won its 2-hour time period, beating Fox's unscripted lineup (Hell's Kitchen/MasterChef), to stand as Monday's #1 TV show in Total Viewers for the 2nd week in a row. Additionally, for the 9th consecutive week, the ABC unscripted series won its slot across all key Women demos (W18-34/W18-49/W25-54), while ranking as Monday's #1 TV show for the 6th week in a row on all three measures.

· The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All surged from its year-ago telecast by 1.5 million viewers and by 29% in Adults 18-49.

At 10pm, ABC's The Glass House took second against its network rivals with Total Viewers and Adults 18-49.

With its lineup of "The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All" and "The Glass House," ABC finished second on the night, beating NBC (including originals of "Fear Factor" and "American Ninja Warrior") by 50% in Total Viewers (5.7 million vs. 3.8 million) and by 29% in Adults 18-49 (1.8/5 vs. 1.4/4).

"The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All" (8:00-10:00 p.m.)

ABC's "The Bachelorette: The Men Tell" won its 2-hour time period, beating Fox's unscripted lineup ("Hell's Kitchen"/"MasterChef"), to stand as Monday's No. 1 TV show in Total Viewers (7.1 million) for the 2nd week in a row. Additionally, for the 9th consecutive week, the ABC unscripted series won its slot across all key Women demos (W18-34/W18-49/W25-54), while ranking as Monday's No. 1 TV show for the 6th week in a row on all three measures.

· "The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All" surged from its year-ago telecast (5.6 million and 1.7/4 on 7/31/11) by 1.5 million viewers and by 29% in Adults 18-49.

"The Glass House" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

At 10:00 p.m., ABC's "The Glass House" took second against its network rivals with Total Viewers (2.8 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.0/3).

A note about increasing DVR penetration and year-to-year rating comparisons: Year-to-year rating comparisons based on the Live + Same Day data stream are distorted by the level of DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample, which has jumped up to 44% currently, from 41% at the same point in 2011. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which may not be reflected in the overnight next day numbers. The only truly valid year-to-year comparison would be one based on the Live + 7 Day metric, once those stats are released by Nielsen.
