Turner Weekly Ratings - TNT's "The Closer" and "Rizzoli & Isles" Scored Basic Cable's Top 4 Series Telecasts for the Month
Turner spins the numbers for the week of July 23-29 plus the month to date.

TNT

TNT's The Closer and Rizzoli & Isles scored basic cable's Top 4 series telecasts for the month. Both series were also joined by the new hit drama Perception in giving TNT seven of basic cable's Top 15 programs for the month.

So far this summer, TNT's original series have grown 8% over summer 2011. Meanwhile the network's overall summer primetime averages are up 8% among total viewers, +8% among adults 18-49 and +7% among adults 25-54, compared to summer 2011. TNT is currently home to cable's Top 4 scripted summer series among total viewers - #1) The Closer, #2) Rizzoli & Isles, #3) Perception and #4) Dallas. Among key demos, TNT's hit sci-fi drama Falling Skies ranks as the summer's top drama on basic cable with adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. In addition, Perception is cable's #1 new series for the year-to-date among total viewers, while Dallas is cable's top new drama with adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

Monday:

TNT's blockbuster drama The Closer ranked as basic cable's #1 series for the week, with more than 5.8 million viewers in Live + Same Day delivery. The show also scored more than 1.2 million adults 18-49 and 1.7 million adults 25-54. The Closer ranks as cable's #1 scripted series this summer. Only two episodes remain before the series ends its remarkable seven-season run.

TNT's hit series Perception chalked up 4.5 million viewers in Live + Same Day Monday night, making it one of basic cable's Top 5 series for the week. The show also garnered 1.1 million adults 18-49 and 1.4 million adults 25-54. Perception currently ranks as cable's #1 new series for the year-to-date among total viewers and comes in second behind Dallas among the year's top new dramas with adults 25-54.

Tuesday:

TNT's Rizzoli & Isles drew a total of 5.6 million viewers in Live + Same Day, making it basic cable's #1 Tuesday program and the #2 series telecast (behind The Closer) for the week. Among key demos, Rizzoli & Isles scored solid growth over the prior week, with adults 18-49 up 9% to 1.5 million and adults 25-54 up 4% to 1.9 million. Rizzoli & Isles also ranked as basic cable's #1 scripted series for the week with adults 25-54.

TNT's Franklin & Bash followed with more than 2.5 million viewers in Live + Same Day delivery. In the demos, Franklin & Bash garnered 926,000 adults 18-49 and 1.1 million adults 25-54, the latter group up 3% over the prior week.

Wednesday:

Wednesday night's episode of Dallas on TNT wrangled 3.3 million viewers in Live + Same Day, with 1.0 million adults 18-49 and 1.2 million adults 25-54. Dallas currently ranks as basic cable's #1 new drama of 2012-to-date with adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. It comes in second behind Perception for the year-to-date among total viewers.

Live + 7:

This summer's first Live + 7 data for The Closer and Perception is in, and it shows both series with outstanding numbers.

· The Closer (July 9 Summer Premiere): 8.3 million viewers; 1.9 million adults 18-39; 2.5 million adults 25-54

· Perception (July 9 Series Premiere): 7.5 million viewers; 1.7 million adults 18-49; 2.2 million adults 25-54.

Meanwhile, the rest of TNT's slate of original series continues to chalk up strong deliveries according to the latest time-shifted viewing data for the week of July 9:

· Rizzoli & Isles (July 10): 8.3 million viewers; 2.5 million adults 18-49; 3.1 million adults 25-54

· Franklin & Bash (July 10): 4.2 million viewers; 1.9 million adults 18-49; 2.1 million adults 25-54

· Dallas (July 11): 5.3 million viewers; 2.0 million adults 18-49; 2.4 million adults 25-54

· Falling Skies (July 15): 5.4 million viewers; 2.6 million adults 18-49; 2.9 million adults 25-54

· The Great Escape (July 15): 1.6 million viewers; 890,000 adults 18-49; 912,000 adults 25-54

TBS

TBS ranked as basic cable's #1 network in primetime delivery of adults 18-34 for July, scoring extraordinary annual growth across the board. TBS's July figures are up 48% among total viewers, +32% with adults 18-34 and +39% with adults 18-49.

On Thursday, the third episode of new hit comedy Sullivan & Son outperformed its second episode by wide margins. Thursday night's installment drew 2.5 million viewers, up 22% over the prior week's second episode. Among TBS's targeted demos, Thursday's episode of Sullivan & Son brought in 615,000 adults 18-34 (+35% vs. episode two) and 1.2 million adults 18-49 (+15%). Sullivan & Son also joined The Big Bang Theory in giving TBS all 10 of basic cable's Top 10 sitcom telecasts for the week among total viewers, as well as eight of the Top 10 with key demos.

Friday night, Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse averaged 1.7 million viewers in Live + Same Day for both the 9 and 9:30 p.m. episodes.

In late night, CONAN closed out July showing across-the-board growth compared to June. For the month, CONAN averaged 1.0 million viewers in Live + Same Day, up 3% over June deliveries. The show also scored 337,000 adults 18-34 (+16%) and 640,000 adults 18-49 (+6%).

Adult Swim

Adult Swim ranked #2 in Prime Time delivery of adults 18-34 (behind TBS) among basic cable networks, up 12% compared to July last year. Prime delivery also grew among additional key demos - adults 18-49 grew by 1%, adults 18-24 by 6% and men 18-34 by 5%.

Adult Swim also retained its Total Day crown, ranking as basic cable's #1 network for Total Day Delivery of adults 18-34, 18-49 and 18-24 as well as men 18-34, 18-49 & 18-24.

Among Adult Swim's original programming, premiere episodes of Metalocalypse (Sunday, July 29, 12:15 a.m.) charted double-digit delivery increases among all target demos vs. the same time period last year - adults 18-34 grew by 35%, adults 18-49 by 26%, adults 18-24 by 47%, men 18-34 by 29%, men 18-49 by 21% and men 18-24 by 35%.

Additionally, premiere episodes of Black Dynamite (Sundays, 11:30 p.m.) earned average delivery gains among adults 18-24 (up 1%), men 18-24 (up 5%), men 18-34 (up 6%) and men 18-49 (up 10%). The new season of Squidbillies (Sundays, 12:15 a.m.) also ranked #1 in its time period among men 18-24, earning 33% average delivery gains among adults 18-24, 1% gains among adults 18-34, and 3%-18% average gains among all male demos.

Adult Swim programming accounted for 15 of the top 50 telecasts of the week on basic cable among adults 18-34, more than any other network.

Cartoon Network

Across July 2012, Cartoon Network ranked as television's #1 network for Total Day & Early Prime (7-9 p.m.) delivery of boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14. Both Total Day and Early Prime delivery grew across kids 9-14 - up 12% and 1%, respectively, vs. July 2011.

The second season premiere of Ninjago (Wednesday, July 18, 8 p.m.) ranked as the #1 telecast of the month among all boys 2-11 and boys 6-11. Averaging more than 2.8 million viewers ages 2+, the series posted double and triple-digit delivery gains across all kids and boys demos vs. last year's time period, ranging between 75% and 139%.

Among its original programming, Annoying Orange (Mondays, 8:30 p.m.) ranked as the #1 program on Monday nights among all boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14. Similarly, Total Drama: Revenge of the Island was the #1 program on Tuesday nights among boys 9-14. All Monday night program premieres (7:30-9 p.m.) earned solid average delivery growth among kids 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14 throughout July, ranging between 5% and 25%.

Saturday morning's (6:30-11 a.m.) presentation of action-adventure programming earned double-digit delivery increases across all kid and boy demos vs. July 2011, ranging between 27% and 36%. Beyblade: Metal Masters (8 a.m.) and Pokémon BW: Rival Destinies (8:30 a.m.) both earned dramatic delivery gains compared with last year. Beyblade: Metal Masters achieved double-digit delivery growth across all demos - between 73% and 92%. Pokémon BW: Rival Destinies scored triple digit gains vs. the previous time period across all target demos, ranging between 115% and 166%.

truTV

truTV turned in its most-watched July ever in primetime delivery of four key demographics: adults 18-34, adults 18-49, men 18-34 and men 18-49. In achieving its personal best, the network also ranked among ad-supported cable's Top 10 networks with men 18-34, as well as among ad-supported cable's Top 10 entertainment networks with men 18-49.

Leading the truTV pack in July was the hit series Lizard Lick Towing (Mondays 10 p.m.), which averaged more than 2.7 million viewers and 1.5 million adults 18-49. The show ranked among ad-supported cable's Top 5 programs in its timeslot with viewers and key demos, while also delivering triple-digit time-period growth and a six-year drop in median age.

truTV's Hardcore Pawn (Tuesdays 9 p.m.) raked in 2.5 million viewers and 1.2 million adults 18-49 in July, with Top 5 ad-supported cable rankings in the timeslot with men 18-34 and men 18-49. The show also scored double-digit time-period increases with total viewers, adults 18-49 and men 18-49.

Storage Hunters (Sundays 10 p.m.) tallied 2 million viewers, with 1 million adults 18-49. The show is registering double-digit time-period increases, while also ranking among ad-supported cable's Top 5 programs in its time period with men 18-49.

For the final week of July, truTV ranked among ad-supported cable's Top 10 networks in primetime with adults 18-49, men 18-34 and men 18-49. It also ranked among cable's Top 10 entertainment networks with total viewers.
