ABC Family - Summer 2012

During Summer 2012, powered by its largest slate of original series ever, ABC Family ranked as cable TV's #1 network in Prime for the first time in the network's history in Women 18-34 (277,000) and Females 12-34 (438,000). Winner of four 2012 Teen Choice Awards, including Choice TV Drama, critically-acclaimed "Pretty Little Liars" was cable TV's #1 series in Viewers 12-34 and Females 12-34, the #1 scripted basic cable TV series in Women 18-34, and the #1 TV series in Female Teens.

This summer saw the record-setting launch of "Baby Daddy," which ranked as the #1 new cable comedy this summer in Women 18-34 and Females 12-34, and launch to date is the network's #1 comedy ever and cable TV's #2 comedy in Prime in the core demos. "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" stood as the #1 scripted cable TV telecast on Mondays at 8 o'clock in key 18-34s and 12-34s. "Melissa & Joey" delivered a clean sweep over all cable on Wednesdays at 8 o'clock across target 18-34s, 18-49s and 12-34s, while newcomer "Bunheads" stood as the #2 cable TV series on Mondays at 9 o'clock in Women 18-34 and Females 12-34.

Program Highlights

· ABC Family's #1 series of all time, "Pretty Little Liars" ranked as cable TV's #1 series in Viewers 12-34 (2.4 million/2.6 rating), Females 12-34 (2.1 million/4.6 rating), the #1 scripted basic cable TV series in Women 18-34 (1.1 million/3.4 rating) and the #1 TV series in Female Teens (944,000/8.0 rating).

· The summer season premiere of "Pretty Little Liars" became the "most-social" season premiere on record, according to SocialGuide, generating over 791,000 comments by more than 405,000 unique users, and stood as the #2 "most-social" 1-hour episode of all time, behind only the series' season 2B finale (3/19/12).

· Now in its fifth season, "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" ranked as cable TV's #1 scripted series on Mondays at 8 o'clock in Adults 18-34 (892,000/1.3 rating), Women 18-34 (695,000/2.1 rating), Viewers 12-34 (1.2 million/1.3 rating) and Females 12-34 (978,000/2.2 rating).

· ABC Family's #1 comedy of all time, "Baby Daddy" ranked as the #1 new cable comedy of the summer in Women 18-34 (557,000/1.7 rating) and Females 12-34 (792,000/1.7 rating), and was the #2 cable comedy in Prime in the target demos.

· Moreover, "Baby Daddy" emerged as the #1 cable TV series on Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. in Adults 18-34 (689,000/1.0 rating), Women 18-34, Viewers 12-34 (965,000/1.1 rating) and Females 12-34.

· During its summer season, "Bunheads" qualified as cable TV's #2 series on Mondays at 9 o'clock in Women 18-34 (450,000/1.3 rating) and Females 12-34 (694,000/1.5 rating).
