"The Voice" Is Up 5% Versus Monday Night's Season Premiere, 22% Versus Last Season's Initial Tuesday Telecast
NBC spins the numbers for Tuesday, September 11.

Tuesday Results:

· From 8-9 p.m. ET, "The Voice" (3.9/12 in 18-49, 11.3 million viewers overall) is up 22 percent versus last season's initial Tuesday telecast (with a 3.9 rating vs. a 3.2 from 9-10 p.m. on April 3) and up 34 percent in total viewers (11.302 million vs. 8.450 million). This is NBC's best non-sports 18-49 rating in the time period since January 5, 2011.

· Versus 8-9 p.m. results for Monday night's "Voice" season premiere, last night's telecast is up 5 percent in 18-49 rating (3.9 vs. 3.7). "The Voice" delivered the #1 results of the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 and total viewers.

· From its first half-hour to its second, "The Voice" grew by 0.6 of a point or 17 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 4.2 from a 3.6).

· "The Voice" is up 95 percent versus NBC's average in the time period last season in 18-49 rating (3.9 vs. 2.0) and 85 percent in total viewers (11.302 million vs. 6.116 million).

· At 9 p.m. ET, the regular-slot debut of "Go On" (3.4/9 in 18-49, 9.6 in total viewers) scored NBC's top results for a comedy premiere in two years in 18-49 and top comedy debut in total viewers in seven years (excludes previews). The last higher-rated comedy debut on NBC was "Outsourced" on September 23, 2010 (which benefited from a 4.4 lead-in from "The Office") and the last higher-scoring comedy debut in total viewers was "My Name is Earl" on September 20, 2005.

· "Go On" is up 42 percent versus NBC's average in the time period last season in 18-49 rating (3.4 vs. 2.4) and is up 40 percent in total viewers (9.572 million vs. 6.820 million). Versus NBC's premiering performance in the half-hour last season, "Go On" is up 48 percent (3.4 vs. 2.3

· At 9:30 p.m. ET, the regular-slot debut of "The New Normal" (2.5/7 in 18-49, 7.0 in total viewers) topped the ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox slot competition in all key categories. "The New Normal" retained 74 percent of its "Go On" lead-in in 18-49.

· At 10 p.m. ET, the fourth season premiere of "Parenthood" (1.9/5 in 18-49, 5.6 in total viewers) matched the show's season-finale rating from last February 28 and was up 8 percent in total viewers (5.569 million vs. 5.159 million). Versus its last four telecasts in February, last night's "Parenthood" is up 12 percent in 18-49 (1.9 vs. 1.7) and up 16 in total viewers (5.569 million vs. 4.796 million).

· NBC won the night in 18-49, winning all six half-hour among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.4/6; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.1/6 with an encore; and ABC's combo of "Nightline," 2.6/6; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.3/4.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; "Nightline," 0.9/4; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

· At 12:35 a.m., "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.3/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
