NEW YORK - September 14, 2012 - "Rock Center with Brian Williams" set a record for a regular telecast in 18-49 and total viewers on Thursday, September 13th according to Nielsen Media Research data. NBC News' primetime newsmagazine, hosted by Brian Williams, delivered 6.0 million total viewers overall and a 1.4 Household rating in 18-49. "Rock Center" was #1 in the hour topping ABC and CBS in all key categories.

Last night, the following stories aired within the broadcast:

In an exclusive interview, U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Steven's sister, Hilary Stevens, opened up to Brian Williams about the loss of her brother. Plus, NBC News Chief Foreign Correspondent, Richard Engel and Foreign Correspondent Ayman Mohyeldin, reported on the riots in Cairo and situation in Libya.

Rush Limbaugh called Sandra Fluke "a slut, a prostitute." Hilary Rosen said Ann Romney "had never worked a day in her life." But what turned these outrageous remarks into front-page news? Ted Koppel reported that there's an entire industry out there of what you might call 'gaffe-seekers,' and that they're as well-funded and highly organized as many political campaigns. Whether that's good for American democracy or bad for it is for YOU to decide.

And, how does a teen idol keep his star shining bright into adulthood? That's the question facing Justin Bieber at age 18. The pop star opened up to Ryan Seacrest about how he plans to make the leap that so many before him have fumbled. Bieber also shared what it's like to be the most Googled person on the planet, and how he cultivates his stardom through social media.

It's right up there with the wedding industry - family reunions. Why have these week-long celebrations taken off and what goes into planning them? We took a Road Trip to find out.
