Turner Weekly Ratings - TBS Ranks as Cable's #1 Network in Primetime Delivery of Total Viewers and All Key Adult Demos

TBS

TBS's extensive coverage of the 2012 Major League Baseball postseason propelled the network to a first-place sweep last week. TBS ranked as cable's #1 network in primetime delivery of total viewers and all key adult demos. TBS also topped the charts in total day with adults.

TBS's exclusive presentation of the American League Championship Series (ALCS) is averaging more than 6.1 million viewers and a 3.8 U.S. household rating through the first two games. This year's ALCS between the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers is showing remarkable growth compared to last year's NLCS on TBS, including a +92% jump among total viewers (vs. 3,184,000) and a +90% boost in household rating (vs. 2.0). The ALCS has also seen considerable growth among core demos:

· +86% among adults 18-34 (976,000 vs. 526,000) and +90% among men 18-34 (642,000 vs. 338,000)

· +105% among adults 18-49 (2,347,000 vs. 1,146,000) and +115% among men 18-49 (1,596,000 vs. 743,000)

· +102% among adults 25-54 (2,632,000 vs. 1,300,000) and +110% among men 25-54 (1,751,000 vs. 833,000)

TBS's CONAN charted outstanding growth in September, according to final time-shifted viewing data for the month. The show grew +19% among total viewers (950,000) and +9% among adults 18-49 (601,000) compared to September 2011. In addition, CONAN's September figures outperformed August 2012 by double digits, with total viewers up 13% and adults 18-49 up 12%.

Adult Swim

Adult Swim ranked as basic cable's #1 network for Total Day Delivery of young adults 18-34 & 18-24 as well as men 18-34 & 18-24.

Adult Swim's original fall special The Greatest Event in Television History (Thursday, 12 a.m.) scored double-digit delivery growth among targeted adult demos vs. the same 2011 time period - adults 18-34 grew by 12% and adults 18-49 by 15%. (Also, men 18-49 grew by 6%.) Additionally, Sunday's premiere of The Cleveland Show (9 p.m.) earned solid delivery gains among adults 18-24 (up 33%), adults 18-49 (up 8%), men 18-24 (up 13%) and men 18-49 (up 1%).

Adult Swim programming - including Family Guy, American Dad, Robot Chicken and The Greatest Event in Television History - accounted for 17 of the top 50 telecasts of the week on basic cable among adults 18-34, more than any other network.

Cartoon Network

Across the second week of October 2012, Cartoon Network ranked as basic cable's #1 network for Early Prime (7-9 p.m.) delivery of boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14, and as the #1 network for Total Day (Mon-Sun, 6 a.m.-9 p.m.) delivery of boys 9-14.

Among the network's original animated programming, Monday night's new episode of Regular Show (8 p.m.) scored as the #1 telecast of the day among all boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14, while a new episode of Adventure Time (7:30 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among all boy demos.

Tuesday night's animated originals (7-9 p.m.) posted double-digit delivery gains across all kids and boys demos vs. the same time period last year, with a new episode of The Looney Tunes Show (8 p.m.) ranking #1 in its time period among kids 9-14 and boys 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14. Compared to last year's time period, The Looney Tunes Show charted double-digit delivery growth across kids 6-11 (21%), kids 9-14 (71%), boys 2-11 (10%), boys 6-11 (26%) and boys 9-14 (48%).

On Wednesday night, a new episode of Ninjago (7:30 p.m.) ranked as the #1 telecast of the day among boys 6-11 & 9-14 and #1 in its time period among kids 2-11, scoring double and triple-digit delivery gains across the board - kids 2-11 increased by 81%, kids 6-11 by 79% and kids 9-14 by 56%. Immediately following, new series Dreamworks Dragons: Riders of Berk (8 p.m.) scored as the #1 telecast in its time period among kids 2-11 and all boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14. Compared to the same time period last year, average kids delivery grew by strong double digits - kids 2-11 by 86%, kids 6-11 by 71% and kids 9-14 by 70%.

Saturday morning's presentation of Cartoon Network's newest original series, Ben 10: Omniverse (9 a.m.), ranked #1 in its time period among boys 6-11 & 9-14, and posted double-digit delivery gains across younger kids and boy demos vs. the same time period last year - kids 2-11 grew by 28%, kids 6-11 by 32%, boys 2-11 by 46% and boys 6-11 by 47%.

TNT

TNT's hit crime drama Major Crimes drew more than 4.3 million viewers and 1.4 million adults 25-54 last week, ranking as basic cable's #1 entertainment program Monday night. The episode scored growth over the prior week, with total viewers up 4% and adults 25-54 up 7%. Major Crimes also averaged 939,000 adults 18-49, matching the prior week's delivery.

In time-shifted viewing, the Sept. 24 episode of Major Crimes scored a final Live + 7 delivery of 6.1 million viewers, with 1.5 million adults 18-49 and 2.1 million adults 25-54.

truTV

truTV's South Beach Tow (Wednesday at 9:30 p.m.) drew more than 1.5 million viewers last week and landed among basic cable's Top 5 programs in the timeslot among key adult and male demos. Compared to the same night last year, the show grew its timeslot by +9% among adults 18-49 and double digits among adults 18-34 and men 18-34.

Several truTV series joined South Beach Tow in displaying key demo growth for their respective timeslots, including Hardcore Pawn (Tuesday at 9 p.m.) and Operation Repo (Wednesday at 10 p.m.). In addition, truTV's acquired hit Wipeout grew its Thursday 8 p.m. and Sunday 8 p.m. timeslots with adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and total viewers.
