"DWTS" Delivers its Strongest Numbers from 8-9pm Since Season Premiere Monday

"Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars" (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

Surging from 8:00-9:00 p.m., a one-hour edition of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars" stood as Monday's most-watched TV series for the 3rd straight week and topped NBC's "The Voice" in head-to-head competition in the time period by over 1.0 million viewers (13.2 million vs. 12.0 million).

· Building week to week in viewers and young adults, "DWTS" marked its best performance in the time period since its season premiere Monday - since 9/24/12.

· "DWTS" saw its audience grow by 1.4 million Total Viewers (12.5 million to 13.9 million) and by 18% in Adults 18-49 (2.2/6 to 2.6/7) from its first half-hour to its second half-hour.

A note about increasing DVR penetration and year-to-year rating comparisons: Year-to-year rating comparisons based on the Live + Same Day data stream are distorted by the level of DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample, which has jumped up to 46% currently, from 42% at the same point in 2011. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which may not be reflected in the overnight next day numbers. The only truly valid year-to-year comparison would be one based on the Live + 7 Day metric, once those stats are released by Nielsen.
