DISCOVERY CHANNEL'S "AMERICAN CHOPPER" ENDS ITS SERIES RUN WITH SUPERSIZED EPISODES AND VIEWERSHIP HIGHS
Supersized Episodes Grab 2.5 and 3.9 million viewers as Series Finale Earns 2 Million Viewers
Discovery Channel aired two super-sized episodes of AMERICAN CHOPPER on December 10 and 11 as part of Discovery's "Mega Week" of premieres, in the lead up to last night's series finale of AMERCIAN CHOPPER.
A supersized episode of AMERICAN CHOPPER, "AMERICAN CHOPPER LIVE: THE ROAD TO REVENGE", aired on Monday Dec. 10 and earned a 1.83 HH rating and a 1.62 P25-54 delivering 2.52 million viewers P2+ making it the #1 cable program (excluding sports) among P/M25-54 and M18-49 demos. Another supersized episode, "AMERICAN CHOPPER LIVE: THE REVENGE", aired the following night and earned a 2.77 HH rating and a 2.51 P25-54 rating delivering 3.91 million total viewers P2+, making it the #1 television program, no exclusions, among Men 18-49 and Men 18-34.
The series finale of AMERICAN CHOPPER on Dec. 17 earned 1.56 HH, 1.27 P25-54 with 2 million total viewers P2+. The episode was #4 on cable for the night in Persons and Men 25-54 delivery, and outperformed several broadcast television series in male viewers, including ABC's "Castle" and "Extreme Makeover", and "Family Guy" on FOX.
