"30 Rock" Matches Its Second-Highest 18-49 Rating of the Season and Scores a Season High in Total Viewers
NBC spins the numbers for Thursday, January 24.

Thursday Results:

* At 8 p.m. ET, "30 Rock" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall) grew versus the prior week by 8 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.4 from a 1.3) and 12 percent in total viewers (3.838 million vs. 3.435 million), pending updates.

* "30 Rock" matched its second-highest rating of the season and scored a season high in total viewers. The overall viewership of 3.838 million is the show's highest since the March 15, 2012 episode averaged 3.999 million viewers

* At 8:30 p.m. ET, "Parks and Recreation" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 3,9 million viewers overall) built on its 18-49 lead-in by 21 percent. "Parks" matched the show's 18-49 rating in this same slot on the same night last year and increased its build on lead-in to 21 percent from 6 percent on that year-ago night.

* In its first two weeks in the 8:30 half-hour, "Parks and Recreation" has now delivered NBC's two highest 18-49 ratings with comedy programming in the slot since March 15, 2012. These have also been "Parks" top two telecasts of the season in total viewers.

* From 9-9:31 p.m. ET, "The Office" (2.0/5 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in the slot among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in men 18-34 and tied for #1 among those networks in men 18-49. Note that last season, "The Office" added an average 50 percent to these next-day "live plus same day" ratings when Nielsen reported "live plus seven day" results.

* From 9:31-10:01 p.m. ET, "1600 Penn" (1.3/3 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall) grew versus the prior week by 8 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.3 from a 1.2) and by 9 percent in total viewers (3.320 million vs. 3.043 million), pending updates.

* From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "Rock Center with Brian Williams" averaged a 0.8/2 in 18-49 and 3.7 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, "Rock Center" grew by 11 percent in total viewers (3.9 million vs. 3.5 million).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday night:

* In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.6/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.2/6 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.9/8.

* In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.6/3 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.2/6.

* From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.9/6 in metered-market households and a 0.8/5 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

* From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.3/4 in metered-market households with an encore telecast) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2 with an encore).

* At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
