NBC RESULTS FOR THE PRIMETIME WEEK OF MARCH 11-17

WEDNESDAY'S 'CHICAGO FIRE' MATCHES ITS TOP ENCORE RATING SO FAR THIS SEASON

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - March 19, 2013 - NBC has delivered a 1.1 rating, 3 share in adults 18-49 and 3.8 million viewers overall for the primetime ratings week of March 11-17, according to "live plus same day" viewing data from Nielsen Media Research.

NBC's top shows last week included "The Biggest Loser" which averaged a 2.0 rating in adults 18-49; "The Office," which filed a 1.9; and "All-Star Celebrity Apprentice," which earned a 1.8.

Primetime averages for the week of March 11-17 in adults 18-49 are: Fox, 1.9/6; CBS, 1.7/5; ABC, 1.7/5; NBC, 1.1/3; and CW, 0.4/1. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 8.6 million; Fox, 6.0 million; ABC, 5.8 million; NBC, 3.8 million; and CW, 1.2 million.

Season to date averages through eight weeks are: CBS, 3.0/9; Fox, 2.6/7; NBC, 2.5/7; ABC, 2.3/6; and CW, 0.7/2. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 12.3 million; ABC, 7.8 million; NBC, 7.2 million; Fox, 7.1 million; and CW, 1.8 million.

NBC highlights for the week of March 11-17

Monday: "The Biggest Loser"(2.0 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) grew from its first half-hour to its fourth by 22 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.2 from a 1.8).

From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "Deception" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall) matched its 18-49 rating of the prior week despite special competition this week from ABC's "Bachelor: After the Final Rose."

Tuesday: "Smash" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) grew 13 percent week to week in 18-49 rating (to a 0.9 from a 0.8) and 8 percent in total viewers (2.902 million vs. 2.676 million), despite an encore lead-in that led to a 22 percent drop in this week's 18-49 lead-in for "Smash."

At 9:30 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "The New Normal" (0.7/2 in 18-49, 2.1 million viewers overall) maintained 100 percent of its 18-49 lead-in from an encore "Go On" (0.7/2 in 18-49, 2.5 million viewers overall at 9).

Wednesday: An encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.1/3 in adults 18-49, 4.6 million viewers overall at 9 p.m. ET) grew versus its results with an encore on the same night last year by 57 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.1 from a 0.7) and 82 percent in total viewers (4.6 million vs. 2.5 million). From its first half-hour to its second, this week's "Law & Order: SVU" grew in every key ratings category.

A rebroadcast of "Chicago Fire" (1.1/3 in adults 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall at 10 p.m. ET) grew week to week by 10 percent in 18-49 rating, to match the show's highest rating among five encores so far this season.

Thursday: "Parks and Recreation" (1.6/5 in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall from 8:30-9 p.m. ET) jumped 14 percent versus its prior original in 18-49 to earn its top rating since February 7, despite this being the first "Parks" original to air in three weeks (since two episodes ran on February 21). In the time period in men 18-34, "Parks" tied for #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox with CBS's "Two and a Half Men" (1.7 rating each) and out-rated "American Idol" (1.4) in that category.

"The Office" (1.9/5 in 18-49, 3.5 million viewers overall from 9-9:31 p.m. ET) ranked #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in men 18-34 and #2 in adults 18-34, men 18-49 and men 25-54.

Friday: "Grimm" (1.4/5 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall at 9 p.m. ET) was the hour's #1 scripted program on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in all key demographics. "Grimm" built on its lead-in by 100 percent in 18-49 rating and 79 percent in total viewers. Note that in the fourth quarter, "Grimm" originals grew by 73 percent over these next-day "live plus same day" numbers in 18-49 when Nielsen reported additional time-shifting viewership in "live plus seven day" results (to a 2.86 rating from a 1.65).

Saturday: A rebroadcast of "Saturday Night Live," with host and musical guest Justin Timberlake (1.1/4 in 18-49, 3.2 million viewers overall at 10 p.m. ET) delivered the #1 primetime 18-49 rating of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox. "SNL" scored the show's top 18-49 and total-viewer results so far this season among seven Saturday 10 p.m. ET "SNL" encores.

Sunday: "Dateline NBC" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall from 7-9 p.m. ET) reported the network's highest 18-49 and total-viewer results in the time period in the seven weeks since the January 27 Pro Bowl.

From 9-11 p.m. ET, "All-Star Celebrity Apprentice" (1.8/5 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall) maintained 100 percent of the prior week's18-49 rating and in total viewers, "Apprentice" was up 8 percent week to week (5.5 million vs. 5.0 million) to a season high.

"All-Star Celebrity Apprentice" ranked #1 for its second hour from 10-11 p.m. among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49 and most other key demos.
