Monday Results:
NBC is #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 with a 48 percent margin over #2 (with a 3.4 rating vs. a 2.3 for Fox).
* From 8-10:01 p.m. ET, "The Voice" (4.1 rating, 11 share in adults 18-49, 12.5 million viewers overall) delivered the #1 rating of the night in 18-49 by a 52 percent margin over the #2 show (2.7/8 for CBS's "How I Met Your Mother"). "The Voice" won last night's time period in every key demographic among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox and led the slot in 18-49 by a 71 percent margin over CBS's original comedies (2.4), by 78 percent over Fox's original dramas (2.3) and by 105 percent over ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" (2.0).
* Versus the same night last year, "The Voice" is up 17 percent in 18-49 rating (4.1 vs. 3.5 on April 30, 2012). In total viewers, the increase is 31 percent (12.450 million vs. 9.515 million).
* Note that last week's Monday "Voice" was the #1 primetime show of that week on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 as well as adults 18-34, teens 12-17, kids 2-11 and all key adult women. Also note that each "Voice" telecast during this cycle has grown by 0.1-0.2 of a rating point going from these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings to official nationals.
* From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "Revolution" (2.0/5 in adults 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall) tied for #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49 (pending updates) and is matching last week's 2.0 in official nationals, despite the return this week of original competition from CBS's "Hawaii Five-0." "Revolution" is currently running within 1 percent of last week in total viewers (5.809 million vs. 5.883 million).
* "Revolution" is up 25 percent versus NBC's average in the time period last season in 18-49 rating (2.0 vs. 1.6, L+SD non-sports) and up 14 percent in total viewers (5.809 million vs. 5.106 million).
* Note that "Revolution" is a highly time-shifted show, with its April 8 telecast growing by 69 percent when going from these next-day "live plus same day" ratings (2.20) to its "live plus seven day" result (3.71).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night:
* In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.5/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.1/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.2/6.
* In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 Wednesday results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.7/3; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.
* From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET Wednesday night, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/5 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
* From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.3/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).
* At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
